That's what I wanted to hear... TBH excessively slick websites turn me off, just wanna hammer through them fast, don't want no animations, dancing hamsters, 360 degree product flyarounds, just the facts ma'am.

I've been hearing this question a lot lately. Streets first page over on the speculation thread (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/activemining-overview-and-speculation-thread-254930) is GREAT for gleaning this type of info! Here's what it says:

The Avalons were delayed two weeks, push us out 8 weeks from ~June 17th which is somewhere near Sept. 11th.

If the website gets updated, I would like to see the order page section be made more clear. After all, some of the profit will come from ActM selling mining equipment, and of course, I would like to buy some Fast Hash machines.

I also have a table in my living set up for the machine I will get. It was originally set up for a Butterfly Labs machine or two, but it seems that my Fast Hash will get here before I see anything from BFL.

What's the most up-to-date estimate for when we'll be hashing at 6+TH/s?

The website is certainly something that is on the list, but not top priority.  At current pass, functionality is all that we require in this moment.  I can agree the website needs a makeover, and it will receive one in due time.  The current timeline on high priority items consist of eASIC, prototypes, Klondikes and formation of the board.  Once those objectives are completed, an improved website will be in line for priority consideration. 

No one is screaming, simply suggesting. We know Ken is busy and may overlook some of the other aspects that make a business successful, which is why we are offering our opinions/help as shareholders. This isn't about mining, it is about corporate identity and branding as a public company, which at 60K BTC value as you say, should be at least somewhat considered.

Again, I do not see anyone screaming, simply suggesting.

I've offered to the do the website for Ken about a week or so ago in exchange for shares, and he expressed interest.  However, he's really busy with other stuff, and I was told to email him back in a couple weeks.

We have a company that is evaluated at 60k BTC and have 0,0468 MH/s/share. And you guys are screaming for a website? I don't get it.

Exactly, fraudsters can have a beautiful site, but legitimate businesses should not have a shitty site.

In this thread are more than one member who already mentioned that he/she would be interested in doing this.

I think on the list of priorities a website is not #1 - although its a problem easily solved with a little bit of money and a web design agency.

I'd love to see a nice clean website. Fraudsters can have beautiful sites (Remember Cryonics?) so that doesn't equate to legitimacy, but all serious businesses should have a nice website.

Having said that, there is a priority list and the site we have works for now.

Does friedcat even have one? BFl has a nice site but that means nothing obviously.

ActiveMining-PR, are you guys looking to update the website sometime in the near future? Being a professional company, I would hope so, as the current website looks quite rushed and sloppy considering this is now a company that is valued in the millions. While I know branding and marketing comes second due to the lack of staff and other priorities, I hope you guys have a plan to update it in the future to better represent the professional culture Active Mining should be aiming for. I am a web designer so I may be biased, but when looking at a site like butterflylabs.com and then virtualminingcorp.com, it is clear that you guys need an update in your branding and corporate identity.

Active Mining is taking Board Applicants

Objective:  To receive applications from shareholders and to determine the makeup and foundation of the Advisory Board to Active Mining Corp.

Summary:  It is envisioned The Advisory Board will have duties in an advisory role for each member of the board to Active Mining Corp and its CEO.  This is not a membership to obtain insider information; this purpose is to establish a functioning advisory board of members.  The Advisory Board will provide valuable feedback on decisions and give advice on the direction of Active Mining.  A Board adviser will be required to act professionally in public, meetings, as well as meet a code of ethics.

Other order of business

It has been pointed out that Google was informing visitors of VirtualMiningCorp.com that the site was detected for malware.  Google was displaying a malware warning on our VirtualMiningCorp.com main page.  The site was not in any way compromised, the code that Google was complaining about was in our template from the beginning.  The code has been changed to not include the links that Google was complaining about, and the warning is no longer present.  Thank you to those who pointed this out!
