As I understand it, every qualifying post you make represents one potential activity point. You can only earn a maximum of 14 points in any 14 day activity period. In order to use 14 of your potential points, you need to make at least one post in the activity period. I have over 1,000 potential activity points, so I only need to make one post in this period for me to be awarded 14 points when the next update takes place.
You have it the wrong way around.
You have 0 potential activity points which is why you get 14 activity every activity period. If you had 1,000 potential activity, you could get an activity point for every post you made regardless of timing up to the amount of potential activity you have (in this case, theoretically 1,000).

I think VOD, you might be the leading poster here with 11796 posts. Shocked
Amph is the leading poster here with almost 27k posts. You can see the top 10 posters on the stats page.

I have over 1,000 potential activity points...

Can I ask where you got this information from?

He hasn't got any potential activity. His potential activity is 434 until the next period when he can get another 14. Potential activity is when you would instantly get more activity when you made the required posts. If you made 1000 posts today your activity would be no different.

May be he is talking about his post count as he is having 1500 plus posts and he only needs to post a single post during every activity period to get the 14 activity every fortnight and so i guess you can call that a potential activity points  Wink. I think VOD, you might be the leading poster here with 11796 posts. Shocked

That is a whole new spin on potential activity...
Posts don't translate into activity unless you manage to post further in different 2-week periods. So it doesn't matter how many "potential activity points" you have collected.

activity is based from the ranking of your position in two weeks the activity will increase in 14 or 12 to but the posts are just how many did you post in your account their are not limits from it unlike the activity and also they are the same because its a delay or a bug from the website or in other reason they just hide it well Cheesy

Sorry, this incorrect. And the first member that replied to you offered you the correct source.

But to Canah here, you earn 1 activity point for each day you're active on the forum. "Active" in the forum requires you make one post every two weeks (e.g., 1 post in a two week period earns you 14 activity points).

And every two weeks your activity will increase accordingly to the lesser of the number of days you've been active or the number of posts you have.

Welcome to the forum!

hello ! i joined few days ago .. and i try to be as active as possible
from answering questions and sharing my thoughts
Why do you care about activity and posts so much if your primary intentions are to contribute as actively as possible ? Huh

If you get some free time from posting, don't hesitate reading stickies from respective sections of the board.
