post once a day.

Activity is updated/increased with 14 every two weeks on tuesday. For every period that you post in you get ~14 potential activity ( 1 period = 2 weeks interval).

Meaning that 14/2 weeks = ~1 activity each day. (which you will get by simply making 1 post.)

It may be that once you hit the 14 limit, then you have to wait for 14 days if you are a prolific poster. I hadn't considered that.

It is this formula.

activity = min(time * 14, posts)

That means the minimum of the two values time (the number of two week periods you posted in) multiplied by 14 or the total number of posts.

So you signed up on the last day of an activity period giving you a maximum activity cap of 14 and then when you posted the next day which was the next activity period that cap become 28.

If the number of activity periods you posted in multiplied by 14 is more than your total posts then you have 'potential activity' and can increase activity just by posting.

If the number of activity periods you posted in multiplied by 14 is less than your total posts then you have to wait until the next activity period to increase your activity.

Hi,

I think my activity counter is frozen Sad It was increasing as well. For a very long while, it's always same.

Any idea please?

Regards.

Activity is updated every 14 days only. Next update in tomorrow and thus if you make a post tomorrow and  has made extra posts earlier, it will surely increase. You can see activity update dates here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/edit#gid=1324892580

For how long, you are seeing this problem ?

Activity is increased by staying logged in or by posting and is updated every 30 minutes.

I think that may only apply to new registrations. For most active members, activity seems to go up by 14 every fortnight, and not be updated every 30 minutes.

Activity-count in the forum is calculated with the following formula:
Code:
activity = min(time * 14, posts)
Activity is increased by staying logged in or by posting and is updated every 30 minutes. There is a maximum of 14 activity points every 2 weeks.

I got the information from topic created by Lauda. If you interested, there you go:

I was a bit surprised by the activity count when I signed up, and I managed to get an activity of 28  in under than 2 days. At first it seemed to clock up almost hourly until it got to 14, and then it went to 28. It seems that this was a result of the activity checking in the cron job running on the server, and I think I joined the forum at just the right time to maximise on this. Once you get out of newbie status, then it seems to follow the posted timings, and you have to wait for the activity run to complete. This seems to happen between Tuesday and Thursday every fortnight. Don't forget to make allowances for different time zones when you are checking for updates.

There doesn't seem to be any announcements about this, so my post is based on my assumptions and guesswork.

Thx to all, i also read:

Code:
Why is my activity stuck/not moving?

Because you can only get 14 activity every two week period. You will have to wait until the next period starts to get another 14.

Today is 20180409. I will wait at least another 14 days. It was daily increasing as far as i remember. One by one. But maybe i'm wrong.

I did not doing anything wrong as far as i know. If i lose it, i will restart, no problem.

I did not ask for a rank issue, just it stopped working.

If there is a bad tag, like spam thing, etc, how do i know which still i don't guess.

Cheers...

You should be more worried about being banned for spamming given your recent posts.

Activity updates every 2 weeks.

It looks like you registered the account in November 2017, but only began actively posting at the beginning of March.

If I remember correctly you need to post at least once in a 14 day period to get your 14 activity for that 2 week period. The ins and outs are explained here.

When was it last updated? I expect you know it only updates every 14 days.

You're last 20 posts were made during the last 6 days. That hardly enough time to appear in an activity update.
