Since the concern regarding the formula is answered. I want to say that focus on improving your post quality and start making a constructive post. Because Activity will just come in your account automatically, but the Merit will not.
You need to make a constructive comment or post that will benefit some members or will be informative. Ranking up here is hard, especially when you don't enjoy helping others or being here. Just enjoy being here the ranking up will come after that Smiley
Also Here's a helpful suggestion that I'm still using until now.

Read it until the Helpful suggestion part, and I hope this one helps you Smiley

Even though you are not going to join a signature campaign, this one will help you to know what is the unconstructive vs constructive post. When I am a newbie this one helps me to improve my posting quality, I hope it will help you too Smiley

Thanks alot for the link.We will surely go through it.

Take a look at this thread too (besides those referenced above): https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/activity-new-membergroup-limits-237597

You seem to be confusing time ("number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration") with login time on this thread. Login time has nothing to do with Activity. Activity is based merely on posting. What the formula indicates is that, no matter how many posts you create, you will get a maximum of 14 Activity points every 2 weeks. You can get less obviously, just not above 14 every fortnight.

The rough idea is that you need to post at least 14 posts every 14 days to max out (it’s a little be more permissive, as the formula allows you to accumulate Activity from excedent posts belonging to previous weeks, providing you make at least one post in the activity window).

Say you start now from scratch, and during a two week period (*) you comply with one of the following four distinct sample scenarios:

a) make 0 posts ->  0 Activity  will be generated
b) make 1 posts ->  1 Activity  will be generated
c) make 15 posts ->  14 Activity  will be generated (the maximum in a two week period)
d) make 155 posts ->  14 Activity  will be generated (the maximum in a two week period)

Say that during the following (two week) period you make 1 single post. Your activity will now increase (continuing with the above scenarios):

a) +1 Activty -> totalling 1 Activity
b) +1 Activty -> totalling 2 Activity
c) +2 Activty -> (1 post that rolls over from last week + this week's new post) totalling 16 Activity
d) +14 Activty -> (13 post that rolls over from last week + this week's new post) totalling 28 Activity

(*) Activity window period really, according to a fixed calendar.Minimum 1 post per activity window required to increase activity.

You should barely be concerned with activity nowadays. If you are concerned with ranks at all, it’s the Merit requirement that is going to prove hardest to achieve (activity is a piece of cake in comparison).

Thank you so much for  the detailed explanation. I had gone through it now it is more clear about activity.

But just being logged doesn't count towards your activity, you need to make at least one post per week to receive that activity points.

So that means if I will post 1 activity in a week will it be calculated as a 14 activity points in 2weeks or should i have a least of 14 post in that week.

If we look at the formula in the quoted message, it states that the min of time*14, posts will be assigned to activity. So, this derives that if your posts are min than the time*14 then the number of post count will be your activity.

I think this is the short and sweet explanation for activity calculation.

If we will logged in for 30mins our activity will increase? and in two weeks you will get 14 activity points by logging in only?
I could see "OR" in the sentence so asked for my understanding.

The answers to your questions are here, in Meta session. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/faq-everything-you-need-to-know-about-forum-activity-account-ranks-and-merit-2766177

But just being logged doesn't count towards your activity, you need to make at least one post per week to receive that activity points.

Additionally to activity, you need to earn merit. Which works similar to a Facebook Like, that users give you for high quality content.

Merit:

In addition to Activity you now need Merit to achieve each rank. The required merit is detailed below:

Brand new: 0
Newbie:   0
Jr Member: 1
Member: 10
Full Member: 100
Sr. Member: 250
Hero Member: 500
Legendary: 1000
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/faq-everything-you-need-to-know-about-forum-activity-account-ranks-and-merit-2766177

You already earned one merit, so you will become a Jr Member when you reach 30 activity

As a newbie I am very much curious to know more on ranking system and rules. Today I had read one thread - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16958010

Where I read below lines:
Quote
How is forum activity calculated?
Activity is calculated with the following formula:
Code:
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is increased by staying logged in or by posting and is updated every 30 minutes. There is a maximum of 14 activity points every 2 weeks.

If we will logged in for 30mins our activity will increase? and in two weeks you will get 14 activity points by logging in only?
I could see "OR" in the sentence so asked for my understanding.
