I do not understand why to make a messenger based on blockchain. It's too much. The concept of bitmessage is much more attractive

The ADAMANT blockchain has been updated to version 0.1.1
- delegate registration and voting for delegate are now available via adamant-console (https://github.com/Adamant-im/adamant-console)
- token sending with comments is added on the network level
- minor changes in the comission calculating mechanism
- version format is changed to major.minor.patch; all api-extending updates now increment the 'minor' part, and small changes and bug fixes increment the 'patch' part

- the Docker image has also been updated to version 0.1.1

ADAMANT Messenger project is being developed since May 2017. During this time the Team has achieved certain results:

A secured and anonymous messenger conception did withstand criticism and found acceptance from the interested audience

A working network infrastructure and testnet have been made

A product has been introduced — a Messenger implementation working in a browser (a Progressive Web App solution) and iOS version of the Messenger available to test through the Apple’s TestFlight

The Messenger had attracted 10 000 users

The creating of ADAMANT Tech Labs legal entity has been started

However we faced a number of difficulties. The ADM token did not suite a number of demands for listing of the major crypto markets. A number of users are not able to buy ADM tokens because of incorrect Whitepaper limitations for the US and China citizens. The Messenger app does not fit the minimum requirements for every day usage.

The project team along with internal and external advisors made a decision that a major changes on the project are needed. These decisions are somewhat forced measures aimed to secure investors’ interests and future product development.

These changes include:

A concept and Whitepaper redesign in accordance with understanding ADM is a Utility-token, intended to be used inside the system for supporting network infrastructure, allowing to buy tokens for US and China citizens

The ADAMANT Tech Labs jurisdiction change from Malta to Ireland. This change is connected with lower tax load and loyal views for crypto projects and anonymous messengers.

Concentration on product development and mobile applications for iOS and Android. Android app development will start in April, ahead of the Roadmap.

ICO prolongation for 3 months, till 06/30/2018. Such a decision is necessary to prepare for listing on crypto markets with significant volumes. While we do not exclude that ADM token will be listed before ICO ends. ADM token price is fixed at 0.004 price until the ICO ends.

In order to encourage earlier token buyers, “ADAMANT Grows” campaign will run as planned, on 04/11/2018

Rewards for current Bounty campaign will be counted and sent as planned, in April of 2018. Registration in current Bounty campaign will be closed in two weeks before its end, on 03/15/2018. We are planning to start new Bounty campaign in April.

We are glad to announce that the ADAMANT team has implemented ADAMANT Console tool for working with ADAMANT blockchain.

Console allows nodes to run for delegates and users to vote for them.

We remind you that the delegates are the main nodes of the network. It is the delegate who forges blocks being constantly on the network, and gets paid for it.
In order to become a delegate the node owner pays the comission of 300 ADM and encourages users to vote for him (one vote costs 10 ADM to the user). Users with the larger balance have a stronger vote. The delegates raise their rank by receiving these votes, and the rank determines the block forging queue.

So far we have tested the Console and the voting mechanism on the test network, both these features will be on the live network soon.

Users will be able to vote directly from the messenger apps.

I like that you can immediately try how the messenger works on blockchain, I like it. The future of the project should be, given that the developers go to different conferences and there is a working product.

In my opinion, and after I read and translated the Whitepaper, I think this project is not necessarily for mass adoption -just right now- as any other typical messenger, this is for people and companies that appreciate -and need- 100% privacy, anonymity and confidentiality. In the future though, I think with blockchain disrupting every industry, world can turn into this kind of data protection models for daily use applications. So users will prefer to pay a small fee in order to make sure their identity and privacy will be totally locked down,

It is good to enter market with an ongoing product. But while there is an application such as a telegram, and there is already a well-known and easy-to-use application, what is the chance of the be successful for you?
