It's been years, I don't know why this hasn't been done yet. Nor have I seen a proposal.

It is tough to implement @theymos?

It shouldn't be too hard but maybe the priority is simply not that high at the moment.

It would be nice to have this kind of warning on all marketplace threads, but at the end of the day, I'm doubtful of how much it'll actually help.

People will continue to be dumb and deceived until at least the point they realise they've gotten conned out of their money, unfortunately.

I don't see any kind of cons by implementing this into the entire marketplace board, even the investor-based games have their own especial warning in their threads.

Warning: You are in the Gambling section. You are likely to eventually lose any money that you gamble/"invest". Additionally, moderators do not remove likely scams. You must use your own brain: caveat emptor. Do not gamble more than you can afford to lose.

So it will really be nice to see all sections in the marketplace to have this special reminder cause certainly it would help a lot of newbies to be aware of the current scams/ponzis being promoted around the forum .

I do not think that it applies to the whole market will make sense because there are many sections related to the discussions.
Therefore, this warning must be issued to certain boards after confirming their usefulness.
In general, I do not think that such a statement will reduce scam cases either. The trust system can be good before any transactions.

The best solution is to include it in welcome messages.

I remember one of the members created a similar topic and the response was logical from one of the mods. I’ll add the link when I remember.

Sure not the whole market - but off the top my head I can think of goods, services, service ann, auctions and all related subboards too.

I'm sure at least 1 scam case will be prevented. At the very least it makes people more aware (or be reminded). Yes, welcome message is a good idea too.

Thanks for the link when you can.

Thanks, so it is included in a) long-term offers b) securities.
In addition to those, you can see the following warning on "Investor-based games [while viewing a thread]":

Nor have I seen a proposal.
A few similar proposals [to an extent]:

I hope this gets implemented on other sections as well...

If this prevents just 1 scam from taking advantage of just 1 person, in the just the next month, is it not worth it? @theymos

Well the warning is certainly there in the securities section:

You could probably include a thing of how newbies shouldn't deal with newbies if they can avoid it as it's often they're likely the least trusted or some part of the guidelines.

The message won't make much of a difference but it might affect one or two trades every so often so it's worth doing...

Good idea (newbie message) but at minimum just make the message appear in all marketplace sections.

I think more scams are through gambling/services/etc than long-term offers and securities nowadays (that was probably different <2012).

@Theymos please include this headline message ([I think found only in] "lending" > "long-term offers") in all marketplace sections. Applies everywhere and it's an obvious thing to do imo.
