Should really remove the button if it serves no real purpose.
There's a few things like that, though the effort required ro change them is arguably not worth the outcome.

[flash] has never been enabled on this forum. That'd be terribly insecure.

I agree but the button for it is there when you make a post. [ flash=200,200][/ flash]

Should really remove the button if it serves no real purpose.

even as a higher rank you can not add videos, and this forum doesn't have the "flash tags" (possibly disabled due to security reasons).

the best thing you can do is to take a screenshot from the youtube video while playing and post that in a [img] tag. something like this:

Code:
[url=link_to_youtube_video][img]link_to_screenshot[/ img][/url]

I don't think I can even post images yet.

Totally understand the not having the flash tags for security purpose but they are there in the icon bar next to the img tag button.

Anyone got a link to find out when these features become available? ie rankings?

Thanks!

Images are available upon ranking up to Jr. Member.

Due to abuse, newbie-posted embedded images are now disabled on these pages:
- Topic display
- Recent posts / patrol
- Previews
They're not currently hidden in PMs or on some other pages (like a user's "show posts" page), though I might change that later if it seems necessary.

Disabled images get transformed into links automatically. When the poster becomes a Jr member, the images that he tried to post previously will automatically be re-enabled (though there might be a few minutes of delay).

This extends to all past posts as well as future ones.

Thanks. I was thinking that I attempted to add one with the flash tags but custom the parameter to [flash=640,480] thinking it would allow but always just shows the link to the video..

Suppose I shall need to grind on and build some bridges in the community! Smiley

Thanks for the speedy reply!

You can not post videos bevause your forum rank is too low. Currently your are a newbie, when you reach a higher rank you will unlock more 'features'.

Hi guys. I can't seem to add videos to my posts?

Is there some rule about adding them?

Thanks
