Greetings to every member of the forum. My respect to all the adults on the bitcointalk forum. As elders of the forum, i believe there are levels of intelligence that have been attained over the years spent on the forum. I came up with this topic to pull up some insights or secret advice to guide newbies that are still having some difficulty in the forum so that they can easily flow through the process responsibly. There are twists and turns that newbies may encounter either in their investment journey or otherwise, and your little insight could be the compass to scale through them successfully.

Don't hold on to it till you pass; always share that wisdom and exchange knowledge with the new babies in the forum.
If you are seeking advice on how best to navigate the forum it's a whole different level of conversation as compared to seeking advice on your Bitcoin investment journey, by my ranking in this forum I may not appear to be a very senior or in your words "Adult" member of the forum but since I didn't see a restriction on who can contribute to this, I will give my little insight into the much I know about the forum and Bitcoin investment. As a newbie on the forum I advise that most of your energy and focus should be directed towards learning and gaining as much knowledge as you can access to help you in the forum and generally with your journey through the world of cryptocurrency.

Investing in Bitcoin is a very good investment choice but just before you delve in make sure to understand the Bitcoin cycle, the dynamics and the risk that are involved and you can be sure to make the best out of your Bitcoin investment as long as it would last.

This forum is mainly aimed at adults and I don't think children should use it without being extremely cautious, because many scammers are using it as scams are mostly not moderated according to the rules. And it's the same for cryptos, it shouldn't be a game for children, they should be teached to use them with caution, and shouldn't hold large amounts.

Op you are even a member while I'm still an amateur in the forum but I know that the forum was created with sole aim of discussing about bitcoin and it's related activities. There is no information one needs that is not in the forum. This forum has long been in existence and so several issues has been raised and treated all you need to do is to visit any board that may have the answer to your problem  and if there is something you still  do not understand, you ask questions, it is there the adult members can help in.

The main aim of this forum is to share Bitcoin knowledge within ourselves, and if you navigate through the forum, you will notice that nobody is stingy with the knowledge he/she have, everyone is happy to share their knowledge here with others that is why everyone is happy with the response they get whenever they ask questions here in the forum.

You as a newbie in this forum, always avoid going against any of the forum rules, ask questions when it is necessary but make sure you use the search bottom before asking questions so as to be sure that same question was not asked earlier. Avoid Plagiarism, and make sure you always read the pined threads in all sections you are visiting so as to know what the section is all about.

...i believe there are levels of intelligence that have been attained over the years spent on the forum. ...
Anyway, newbies in this forum doesn't mean always they are new to the crypto space. So, never think that newbie also doesn't have enough understanding about it. What they must be doing is reading and learning more about this forum, and discussing with other members here, so they can gain the knowledge more to understand about the rules of here and how to grow up successfully in this forum.

I don't know whether there is a term for passing or not passing in this forum, because everything continues to progress and even the higher ranks are still processing and continuing to learn non-stop. because there is indeed a lot of new information and learning all the time. So that no matter who you are, you are still in the process of continuing to learn progressively. This is consistency that must also be maintained and improved by newbies in this forum. Sometimes they just keep pushing forward, and when they experience difficulties, they will stop or just get stuck in that position. Even though there are many ways to ask questions on this forum and I'm sure there are many memes who want to share these conditions. So, for newbies, increase your consistency to continue developing here by studying and understanding the various information presented by other members.

Always remember that there's nothing too difficult to learn and achieve here on the forum all you need to do is give yourself time to read, learn, research on the things you read about here before taking any step further, the forum is a two way thing those who came in here to learn will always not find it different because they will have patience but the others who's only interested in other things always run away when they aren't getting what they came for so make up your mind and choose what you want.

The number one piece of advice every high-ranked member of this forum will always give to the newbies understanding and following the forum which will trigger the reputation and the longevity of the user on this forum. However, if the newbies want to rank up on this forum what is needed is to make good contributions, improve their knowledge, and always make posts in the section focused on the forum merit sources and be relevant in such.

For advice about the crypto market, or investment. Always prioritize BTC investment, do your own research, never rely on expert recommendations/predictions, and learn how to secure your crypto portfolio

Just continue what you are doing to learn more here in this forum as long as you follow the forum rules. Don't worry about being a newbie because everyone here in the forum started from being a newbie. Higher ranks reached it because they are in this forum far longer than you and they also did their best to contribute in this forum that's why they have lots of merits which is now required to rank up compared before when there's no merit system implemented.

You are making it sound like there's a big thing you must do to achieve success here. Dude, nothing much to advise on, follow the laid down rules; which are majorly not spamming, not plagiarizing. The truth is, no matter how many times we drop these guidelines, there's always going to be someone who will default. Even if there were "candid advice" to give, those who don't like reading will miss out and still make mistakes, so instead of asking on behalf of newbies, why not guide them to check out the rules and regulations of the forum to help limit some mistakes.

Exactly, follow forum rules and flow with the vibes of discussions in many boards here, if a newbie or even experienced members don't understand something in a discussion, all the person needs to do Is simply ask questions, and answers will be pouring in, the forum is so amazing. So OP shouldn't make it sound like a big deal to perhaps specially induct a newbie into the forum, we're all here to learn and share ideas with each other, so if a newbie, doesn't understand any areas of crypto space, all he needs to do is go to a relevant board and start a topic on his question, and he'll get a load of answers.

Nothing really important as we both all know that learning should be the highest priority of entering the forum and not getting rich quick profits. Because it’s undeniable that most newbies these days are not taking it seriously to learn from the forum but instead chose to listen to crypto influencers in the social media and take their decisions when investing or trading in the market, which I think a big mistake.

But they when start losing, that’s the time they decide to focus on the forum again and learn the basics. While committing mistakes are sometimes inevitable, but you can at least avoid it if you stick with the proper learning and training inside the forum, not outside the forum.

What I will always advice every beginner in the forum and outside the forum is to always practice patience. Without patience it is impossible to have a smooth journey in cryptocurrency. It is only when one have patience learning to understand crypto can take place,  with patience one will be able to hodl good coins like Bitcoin instead of investing in coins that are not reliable that will later lose it value in the market. Crypto currency is all about learning and doing things the right way.

If their is understanding of how cryptocurrency works and the rules are followed,  their won't be difficulty in the journey of crypto. The reason why people face challenges in crypto is because of lack of patience, they just want things so fast.

I only suggest very simple and meaningful things until the beginner matures.
* Learn to understand the existing Bitcointalk rules and increase the knowledge that beginners have.
All of us here are starting to enter Bitcointalk, but by understanding the existing rules and continuing to learn to increase our knowledge of crypto/Bitcoin, we will understand what everything means so far, so don't ever get bored of finding out what you don't know yet.
Agree with you, mate. Learning the basic things in this forum and understand the existing rules are something very crucial for the beginners. They will know who to do everything properly if they learn those two things. And they probably will last a long time if they obey the existing rules. However, everyone mustn't focus on those 2 things only, we must learn varied things if we want to have further knowledge. If the beginners already master those things, they must learn other things in this forum which can lead them to broader insight. There should be new things that attract us when we are already done by certain things. The most important thing is to keep our interest and motivation to continue learning in this forum.  Wink

By the way, beginners won't be difficult to survive in this forum. We have many helpful threads to learn and many people are ready to help beginners when they got problems. As long as the beginners want to ask to others for solving the problems, older members in this forum must help them. However, trying to solve the problem ourselves first should be the priority because it is also a part of learning.  Smiley

Opo I dont think there is any need for that. As much as I know you, you have been here for quit some time now. Your rank shows that you are a member an hence it shows that you are not just coming rather already known more. I have seen you navigate through  the entire BTT forum. I know those who will talk about this and I can know what to say. You should be in position to teach the newbies.

You are getting it wrong, the OP being a member rank and navigating through some sessions of this forum doesn't make him a pro. as there are some certain things that he ought to learn as well I believe that's the more reason why he's seeking for advice from advanced members here as he called them elders though he would have referred them as more experienced users rather than elders because an elder here may not really know much as compared to someone who is much younger and his brain is very sharp to understand and give solutions to some certain problems here. Someone can even get to a full member but yet doesn't know the basic rules and regulations of the forum and moreover, being a member rank doesn't implies that you are fit enough to teach the newbies or rather beginners

Op The best way of learning is teaching others. What you should do now is to come to beginners and help and teach those that came New and try correcting them, if you think you have know from there the legendary members will correct you. Because as it is right now, no one knows where to help you. It would have been better for you to specify the particular thing you need, for people to asist you.

How can you teach when you're also seeking to learn? Nobody teaches what they don't know and moreover, the OP might seem somehow knowledgeable by navigating through other boards in the forum but he's still very much eager to learn more. I think if he has specified the area with which he needed help on it would have been better to know how to help him but however, learning more and going through the rules of the forum should be prioritized by every beginner because if you don't break any rules then you can actually navigate through the forum without any setback.

Just be who you are. Everyone comes as a beginner, and everyone grows gradually. There is no need for haste here.

Is really hard for newbies and some high ranked users who have been here for long to take this advise of yours. Some people see here as a place to compete with other members, they want to do and be like other user, so they try to do something just to impress but along the line they forget why they're here and they also lose who they really are, desperation do take over before you know it they start doing things that might break the rules of the Forum without them knowing.

All that I noticed during my presence on the forum is that people who come to the forum for knowledge are very different from those who want to get only financial benefits from the forum. Therefore, we see topics from people in a hurry that are not entirely reliable, are not correctly constructed, and so on.
You can also often notice that the implausible stories of newcomers about their successful interaction with Bitcoin are so incredible that we are forced to harshly say that the person is lying, thereby creating the feeling for others that the forum is not entirely welcoming. To prevent this from happening, you don’t need to invent anything. If you are not strong on the topic of discussion, either just read or ask. No statements are needed. In addition, such people are very memorable in their stories, and some then ask to change their reviews of the liar, realizing that they did the wrong thing.
Just be who you are. Everyone comes as a beginner, and everyone grows gradually. There is no need for haste here.

Once a man, twice a child!
Greetings to every member of the forum. My respect to all the adults on the bitcointalk forum.
The "adults" thing is a hilarious way to refer to veteran members of this forum or any other one in a social media space. Of course, we don't know what age users are here. I guess we've teenagers who started way ahead of those in their 40s and 50s. A few years ago here, there were members who frowned at being addressed as "Sir". They said it was rude. That was a debate that lasted before it was somehow resolved. I see the same thing with this "adult" thing but that isn't to say I didn't catch your drift there, anyway.

It's one thing to share nuggets, and it's another thing for such nuggets to be utilized. Not everyone who listens to sermons put them to use. The same thing applies here. However, what I want newbies to know and do at a time like this is to load up on Bitcoin. We've preached this over and over. Buy and hodl in preparation for a fresh ATH. Anyone buying after April will be chasing price.

Every single person you are on the forum started as a newbie and they had to go through the same process you are encountering. I was introduced to this forum by somebody and the only instruction he gave to me was to discover and follow the rules. I had to take my time to read the rules and observe how things are done on this forum. Although you didn't state the problems you are facing, but there is no single secret on how to overcome your challenges, all the solutions are openly available if you are willing to learn.

The only advice I can give is to keep researching and contributing positively to the form and you will be fine. You could also observe how some reputable members behave in the forum and learn some lessons fron it. If you are not a native English speaker and have some challenges in expressing yourself,  using language checkers like Grammarly could be of great help.
