If he does allow you to bid, just be sure that you pay close attention when it comes time to pay for the winning bid. You will most likely receive a fake payment address from someone impersonating him. When you do get the payment address it should be from someone who has a bunch of green numbers next to where it says trust on his profile.

Its been almost like 12hours since he came online. Just wait for him and if you looked serious while PMing him then he will surely reply.Give him some time.
He really should upload an avatar for himself to make it more difficult to impersonate him......at least until the new forum comes out
