So, facebook and google decided to withdraw the ICO advertisements from their platforms.

Google is close to create their own coin so they can promote crypto so much but the possibility that they will promote something that is not their coin is too high. And social media is more reliable here and their volumes are larger and more promising for the long term deal.

Of course, Google and bloggers who are trusted on YouTube or in the telegraph will give the maximum effect from the advertising company. All promotions that are conducted through the bounty - don't collect money. Because advertising is spinning among the community of bounty hunters and doesn't reach the investor. I think that ban has hurt crypto a lot, in line with the Google ban...new people hear less and less about crypto and few new people are coming in.

Ofcourse in an ICO , advestising is the most important thing to lure many investors.
And ofcourse google is the most visited site that can viewed by most of people in the world.
but it all requires a very high cost when developers want to use google's advertising services.rarely do we see an ico project that uses google ads.probably due to advertising costs which are very expensive

Yes, advertisement is one of the tools that aid the success of ICOs. It is also known that most advertisements done are google related, but that does not mean that all are google related. Take for instance bitcointalk forum. There are numerous investors here and investors come up almost every time. For instance, when i first joined this forum,i was not an investor, but started as a bounty hunter. Later on i eventually became an investor and that is how it happens here. Even if projects do not have the opportunity to advertise on google, they will still succeed.
Both is good and important, but not compulsary. Advertising on google need investment of money and really get's profit where promoting on social media need investment of time to increase your followers, which you will get profit sometime or sometimes not. So i think we should do both steps and makes project more popular in all way.
