What advice do you have for newcomers diving into the world of crypto gambling? Any lessons you learned the hard way that you'd like to share?

Don't bite more than what you can chew, in gambling This means only play what you can afford to lose, it's a trap that you must try to avoid, if you can only afford to play and lose $50 in one session don't pour it all in one roll, break it down with the intention of you're only playing to have fun, an hour or two spent is already good, in that one or two hour you have already satisfy your entertainment cravings.

My second advice and also very important is to read the Terms of Service of the casino you're playing, you don't want your funds or winnings confiscated because you violated one of their terms, so check every FAQ and TOS of every casino you're playing, in case you win there will be no obstacles in withdrawing your winnings.

The best advice to new or old, crypto or fiat gamblers - lower your expectations and enjoy the game. Less important advice - think of money management and find an independent person that will watch your balance. , or just set limits on how much you can afford to lose. But never, never  make goals how much you want to win. This will lead to making extra bets. If you are gambling and winning, and your balance is 999,99, dont try to win that cent to make it 1k even and withdraw.

What advice do you have for newcomers diving into the world of crypto gambling? Any lessons you learned the hard way that you'd like to share?

Do not look at gambling as a source of income even if you manage to have that beginner luck that can give you some nice profit by playing first time into gambling.Second consider it as a source of entertainment and set a budget and stick to it no matter what happens, many people start to lose their head when they lose this set budget and they want to get it back by depositing more money chasing loses which will bring even more loses in 99.99% of cases.

If the newcomer stick to those simple rules nothing bad will happen to them,I and many others have learned the hard way to not chase losses and that is why I insisted as the most critical step to ensure a safe gambling experience.
I very much agree with you, when it comes to advising newbies on how to stay safe in gambling, the easiest and fastest way I do it is to tell them to go read up everything about responsible gambling.
In responsible gambling, we already have all this mentioned rules like, setting limits, never to chase after loses, never to allow emotion to control ones decisions while gambling, gambling with only funds one can afford to lose and so on and so.

Gambling can be very entertaining, most especially when we are winning, this makes you to want to keep gambling forever and ever, but immediately the losing streaks sets in, anxiousness sets in as well desperation to end the losing streak and go back to the winning streak again also sets in, this is mostly the time when gamblers fail woefully in their self control, which is what drives some to start betting higher and higher amount expecting to win every thing they have lost, back all with a that single bet, but unfortunately for most, does strategy don't always end well.

This is why it is also very important that gambler must never stop being in control of him or herself.

Before gambling, you should learn how to control yourself when gambling and to test it, you should make a deposit with smaller money and bet less, there is no need to rush with big money because it is important to control before gambling, there are lots of beginner gamblers or newcomers gamble irresponsibly and go beyond the limits so they become easily addicted and it is very dangerous because it is difficult to cure.

Apart from that, you also have to learn to control your emotions and greedy behavior because it is also not good to follow those feelings when gambling, always make gambling as entertainment to have fun because then there is no desire to win big, a healthy mindset will keep you from addiction and make sure you always limit your budget and gambling time to make it safer. One more thing, always make sure you play at a casino that has a good reputation on this forum  Wink

Beginners in crypto gambling should never bet more than they can afford to lose.  I learned this the hard way by watching swings that would confuse a veteran trader. Crypto volatility magnifies gains and losses, making it a double-edged sword.

Then, skepticism is your best friend. Focus on whats real despite the noise. Is a platform reputable? Do their games prove fair? Transparency is everything. Many consider Stake.com top-tier since it meets all these criteria.

Remember that crypto gambling is a marathon, not a sprint. Maintaining pace is essential. Dont chase losses, because the house edge is a reality, and over time, it always has its way. Join the community, learn, and follow trends. And here in bitcointalk, we has a great user community, which is valuable.

Some people are better off without gambling, they always have hard time controlling their emotions when gambling, if you are this type of person it's better you try your luck with something else and not gambling.

You need to be disciplined enough to always be in control of yourself, to avoid falling at the feet of gambling addictions, do not risk high amount of money because you can gamble twenty times on a casino before having a one win, if you are using a big amount you would have wasted it all away because your aim is to net yourself fat reward.

Those who gamble responsibly are always fond of using small money, I still use $10 to gamble yesterday on a gambling platform and I win very little amount, but I am satisfied because earning money isn't the main goal of gambling for me, it's a part but having fun is also a part too.

Do not let others successful gambling stories affect you, most who have won a lot through gambling can't still live without gambling and they always give it all back to gambling, that's one hell of a big problem with gamblers, they don't know how to quit, even after they made that life changing money luckily.

What advice do you have for newcomers diving into the world of crypto gambling? Any lessons you learned the hard way that you'd like to share?

Of a truth, a lot of lives have been transformed through gambling but I'll strongly advice that you do not get carried away by all these so good to be true testimonies. You might be tempted to make decisions that you will use years to correct or recover.  Do not let greed push you into a deep loss.

Have a job aside gambling, have a hobby too. Putting all your hope in gambling can be disastrous. Not only will it drive you into addiction,  it is capable of making you lose all you already had.

Never you borrow funds to gamble. Have a gambling budget and be disciplined enough to stick to it. You might gamble with your school fees or rent if you do not have a gambling limit.  Gambling is fun but do it wisely.

In my opinion, it's really important to understand what provable fairness is and how it works to be able to allow anyone to verify the randomness of their bets. This is something that crypto gambling popularized so we must really cherish it and learn how to use it to our advantage so we can never be cheated  from a casino provider.

Other than that, also learn what house edge means and how this can be used to your advantage. For instance, games with a higher house edge are harder to win with more consistency in the long run. Generally games like roulette, slots and live games will have a higher house edge.

If you'd like to do away with house edge there's always poker tables. And if you don't like chance-based games at all you could still place some bets on sports.

What advice do you have for newcomers diving into the world of crypto gambling? Any lessons you learned the hard way that you'd like to share?

If you are ready to learn then listen attentively to the following warnings.

1. The most popular mistakes that gamblers made easily is turning gambling into a source of income, if gambling can be used as real source of income everyone will be doing it publicly and also everyone will be living fine.

2. There is no easy part to making money, and with gambling its even more harder than concentrating on your business and jobs, accept that nothing comes easily and also accept that nothing is totally free, there is always a price to pay.

3. The price of gambling is losing money most times but what you might reap can be disastrous to your life and your health, it depend on who you really are and how strong your mind is, gambling isn't for the weak, because a weak minded gambler can easily become.addicted to gambling.

4. The most important part of gambling is to never expect any high returns from it, shift your money making ideas into something you can control yourself, with gambling it's all about luck and no one have the power to control it, so risk only what you can afford to lose.

I don't have a lot to say to you newbie because gambling have never affected me in the past and that's because I have seen how it destroyed few people living around me years back, and today some are still battling the addiction they have for gambling, they don't know how to stop.

What they need to prepare for new gamblers is to clearly understand the rules of the game they want to play. We must gamble with knowledge. The second thing is my experience, and I want to share my experience with these new people. It is foolish to advise you to bear many losses from the money we invest. Feel that loss. And learn to get used to losing in gambling. Know how to control yourself when you lose. That's a way to spend money to buy valuable lessons.
I don't want to see new gamblers win the first game they play. It could be a bottomless pit waiting for them.

Secondly, whenever you have a good win, withdraw the money and use it immediately in something very important that you can remember and appreciate. Don't keep gambling and hoping to win more whenever you have had a major win. Don't give back the money to you win, it is not the right thing.

Getting your winnings out of a centralised system is very necessary and advisable, but being in a hurry to invest the money somewhere might end up giving the person the wrong investment decision. I know money that's kept at a place can't remain in the same volume for ever, but it's better to hold it strong when you make out a reasonable and profitable investment plan, as the wrong one can sink that whole fund without you even realising it.

Quote
Finally,  treat gambling as a game of probability because nothing is sure. Don't be greedy and don't be desperate.
I don't think there is too much greed these days in gambling; it's just a matter of taking risks and how determined the person can be when it comes to their wager decision. Although there is a little bit of greed in gambling, to me the risk is what's mostly the driving force, so one just needs to learn how to reduce those risks, which can lead them to losing everything.

Another thing I will add to the OP is that having a stable source of income before getting involved in gambling will help them stay focused. At least it's during their free period from work and family that they will spend some of that time on gambling and work instead of putting their focus and their survival on gambling. It will also help them to only gamble for the fun and not what they can gain from winning at the end of the day.

There are many things that newcomers who enter the world of gambling must learn. They must learn self-control or already have self-control and can also become responsible gamblers. They must know what impacts gambling can have on them so they must really be able to control themselves so they don't gamble excessively. Maybe it will be difficult for them to learn it because in gambling, there will be many temptations that come to them. For this reason, if they can learn better self-control, they don't need to worry about problems that might arise while they gamble. They can also enjoy gambling as entertainment and not to make money because gambling is not for making money.

What advice do you have for newcomers diving into the world of crypto gambling? Any lessons you learned the hard way that you'd like to share?
- There's no better advice than ensuring you have adequate knowledge to make cryptocurrency investment a part of your portfolio rather than a gamble. In my personal opinion, cryptocurrency is more suited for investment than gambling because of its significant growth potential.
- The next step is to determine what you need and how you plan to navigate this market. Is it purely for entertainment, or are you in it for serious investment? Having a clear purpose will prevent you from getting lost or blindly following others, which could lead to losses.
- Importantly, start with a small initial investment to gain market experience. I believe this is the most critical step. You should be prepared to risk a small amount initially to gain experience. Avoid excessive greed and risking a large sum that might affect your life and mental well-being.

What advice do you have for newcomers diving into the world of crypto gambling? Any lessons you learned the hard way that you'd like to share?
  • At the beginning stick with slots which is luck based before you diversify to try your hands on skill based games
I don't usually recommend trying slots first. They are expensive games. The cheapest bet is $0.01 and if you lose 1000 times then that's $10 which for a starter is going to hurt a bit and might traumatize him. Worse, it can go x5000 times with mostly a loss and the bonus might not even come out.
I'd recommend the originals first. You could bet for as low as $0.001 or even lower than that. Test the waters. Don't jump in with a serious amount of bet because you might lose it in an instant.
In my own experience, I was lucky when I was a non-VIP player and I could double my capital by playing small bets although it will take a long time to happen. But the good part here is the increase in wagering amount which means an addition to the bonuses that will be given weekly and monthly.
When it comes to casino games we have to be wise about spending our money because it's not easy to get multiple wins as the house edge is damn high that it will take time before we could luckily get a multiple win that will surprise us.

My advice to beginners is don't be too tempted by promotions that are advertised in gambling. We have to think intelligently can gamble but don't occasionally consider gambling to make money because that is very difficult to achieve. Set a budget with the minimum limit possible so thats we can get away from gambling without continuing to chase these losses, it is important for beginner to remember thats gambling will not maked us rich, we will enrich the casino owner, so use gambling as wisely as possible so as not to experienced bad thing that will happens to ourselves.
Good advice, promotions and bonuses sometimes will only make beginners lose more money because they are trying to chase it and when they get a bonus it can have the effect of making it difficult to stop playing or betting because of the desire to be able to make more money.
Things like this will be the beginning for beginners who have the potential to become gambling addicts and find it difficult to control themselves.

What advice do you have for newcomers diving into the world of crypto gambling? Any lessons you learned the hard way that you'd like to share?
For beginners don't gamble if you can't stand losing your money. Because in gambling that's inevitable. So have less expectation to win and only use the money that you can live without (one of the basic rules). Usually, the mindset of new gamblers who decided to gamble is, it's easy to win huge based on the advertisement where they get attracted to play. But unfortunately it's not easy as it seems, the reason why new gamblers should be aware of the risk. Because you don't have to learn the hard way to realize something if you can prevent this from happening.
Most beginner gamblers are tempted by winning without thinking about the risks involved, they even forget the limits of forgetting time which in an approach like this beginners can easily make various mistakes in gambling.
The first thing that novice gamblers must always think about is the risk, accepting every loss and also how to gamble in controlled manner.

Don't jump into the hard lessons that you need to learn along the way because all have different perspectives and also have different hard lessons to learn. What you need to learn first are the basics, for you to avoid any avoidable inconvenience.

Choose a crypto you are convenient using with when betting.

Select a reputable gambling platform, read some reviews to identify which platform is better. And of course read the TOS.

Don't start gambling with huge amount, and don't get yourself being used to in betting huge amount, just keep it small.

Just play for fun and no matter how much your mind wants to chase losses and hope that you will win, follow your set principle on how long you're going to gamble. In fact, when the time that that kind of stuff is ringing through your head (chasing losses), that's probably a good time to stop gambling even if you still have any remaining funds for your gambling session for that day. Trust me, when the lose streak comes, it's inevitable that you're going to see more losses because you're having more and more problems thinking straight because you want to win so bad.
