Investing in a lot of different coins is not bad in itself, but unless you know what you are doing, I would limit my investment to about 10 coins. You should be able to trim your investment down to 10 coins, depending on how much risk you are willing to take; since some of the coins among those 20 are riskier than others.

Your top five are enough I think. You can change others to them. Because my top 5 pretty much same as yours. Just NEO, i don't think it is gonna be more valueable.

I just invested most of my savings in crypto, and I was very unlucky with timing as the market crashed/corrected the day after. But there is nothing I can do now but wait and hope. I am trying to plan my portfolio...

I have been gathering info and researching for weeks, but the more I research the more I find new coins, and it gets a bit overwhelming and confusing. I have quite a few coins I am interested in but probably too many. I just can't decide!

I am looking to hold things long term for the most part, and only leave 10% for speculative trades. I don't want to watch charts all day like Ive been doing and lose my life to crypto!

So below is my proposed portfolio, but very open to change. Any suggestions welcome, especially if you think I have one coin that is almost certainly better than another and in direct competition.

BTC – 4000
ETH – 4000
LTC – 2000
XMR – 800
NEO – 800
OMG – 1000
ICX – 1000
STRAT – 700

XRB – 600
VEN – 300
WTC – 150
WAVES – 200
REP – 200
XLM – 250
REQ – 150
IOTA – 200
XZC – 150
ZEC -100
GNT – 230
ETHOS – 200

Any help very much appreciated.
Too many selections for failure. You'd be a better investor if you have a maximum of 5 coins that you are investing in.

Bitcoin being one of them.

Thanks Tony

My worry is that its too diversified! Thats why I am wondering if choosing less coins might make more sense, but I am so new I cant tell.

Because I am new I dont want to put much into many small cap coins, as it seems like a huge gamble, and you never know which will succeed. That is something I will get into in due course, but thought starting a bit safer might make more sense.

Also because of this big correction, I just want to get back out of the red before gambling too much!  Its been a  worrying few days

Thanks

I like your way of diversifyingm but there is a lack of coins with small cap in my opinion. Take a look at CAPP, UTN, CMS, PKT. These are projects with a huge growing potential.

I wasnt asking for people to analyse each coin, more to look at the portfolio as a whole. Do you think its too much to have this many coins in a portfolio?  If so, I just cant work out how to narrow it down when they all seem good!

I'm not asking about specifics on each coin, just do you think there are any mistakes in my choices?

You are very cunning ...
The analysis of each coin and research of its investment attractiveness costs a lot of money.

And you want for free, that people change your portfolio!

This is not beautiful first, and secondly disrespectful.  Angry
You can ask about 1-2 coins, but 20 coins ... sorry ...

Yeeeah, I don't think anyone is going to analyze 20 of those coins for OP.

So, here's a better suggestion: narrow your search down and focus on a few.

I am in no way meaning to be disrespectful!

I have not picked a load of random coins and asked you to research them. I am saying that after all my research these are the main coins Im interested in, and wanted to get some others opinions, and see if maybe I missed something or if people had some advice for me?

I hope you dont take it the wrong way
