I have enable block pops windows ,this is working the same as ADZbuzz?

Yeah with ADZbuzz uBlock you won't see popups anymore they will close by themselves, so even though I haven't used what you are mentioning i'm pretty sure it works the same. ADZbuzz uBlock will also block all other ads including video ads in Youtube for instance or regular banners.

This is a very good extension I would love to try this on,but does it also offer rewards to it's users, like what Mass Network extension is about to do,I hope you can offer an incentives, there are a lot of unblockers in the market but if you can offer something that rewards users, you will have an edge from your competitors.

Yes the moment we launch the revenue distribution for publishers we will reward people who promote ADZbuzz uBlock and ADZbuzz. This will be about 20% of total earnings of the company and will be based on amount of active referrals you have. You can already find your promo page on ADZbuzz in this page: https://adzbuzz.com/settings/affiliates . Referrals are tied to your account forever so this can turn into a lifelong passive income if you manage to promote our project. Smiley

We'll also offer bounties for people managing the communities on ADZbuzz. We want to create communities around sites instead of around topics like you have in Reddit for instance. This will also be discussed in more detail the moment we launch this feature which will take a couple more weeks of development.

How are we actually sure that this Adblock is not actually doing the oposite of what they promise, as anybody audit their code yet

You can go ahead here: https://github.com/ADZbuzz/uBlock

Also there's no reason to assume we would be doing something differently than any other ad blocker that merely blocks ads and trackers (unlike Adblockplus for instance that lets many ads through). The main feature is the ADZlink, which replaces all ads with just one non-intrusive icon on a site and that will pay publishers the same way as they earn from regular ads.

Revenue will come from a centralized shopping portal (mainly as there are some other revenue sources) where consumers can go before they are ready to make a purchasing decision. This effectively removes the need for advertisers to annoy people when they consume content (=where they don't care), but still gives them a channel to promote their business.

Let me put it this way, this concept has been though about very carefully and is the only solution to this billion dollar problem for all parties. Smiley

Spoiler alert from the update:

Finally, some very good news:

Today the ADZbuzz Team has been contacted by Newswatch TV to be featured on their show. Here you can find more info about them:

>>> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NewsWatch_TV

And their site (even though they are a TV channel):

>>> http://newswatchtv.com/

We sent over our contact details and are awaiting news for scheduling a call. The only thing we hope for is that they agree to do the review and broadcast it on their show in a couple of weeks when ADZbuzz Savers and the completed system with ADZlink is ready.

You beat me to it. Smiley

We also included some new developments and a preview of the ADZlink in action, which will be connected to ADZbuzz uBlock and pay publishers directly from our centralized ADZbuzz Savers shopping search engine.

Good times ahead that's for sure!

Have a great day,
Jens

Haha I was excited and I couldn't stop myself posting it 1st

Great article on cointelegraph. I certainly wish this project the success that past attempts have not found. There has to be a good solution to this very old problem of advertising and revenue... I see healthy signs in this project.

Will bookmark and perhaps curate on local sites.

That's great thanks a lot Smiley

Been using adblock plus for years and it has worked for me well on perhaps 90% of sites. Why should someone like me try out this product, though? Tell me one additional benefit I'll gain from switching and I'll try it out=)

P.s. If you can get faucet owners to allow it while surfing their sites that would be a huge bonus. Most don't let you use ad block but if this product offers win win as you say, try get them on board.

Hello,

Ok sure let me explain. Smiley

-> First of all the features of Adblock plus and ADZbuzz uBlock are the same and both plugins are heavily supported by a dev team who will update as soon as some network makes changes, this to ensure all ads keep being blocked.

-> Secondly, ADZbuzz uBlock is just a small part of a much bigger project ADZbuzz which has the aim to create the "ad-supported web 2.0". For this we  are building several other features that are connected to ADZbuzz uBlock:

- ADZbuzz Savers: A pay per click shopping search engine where consumers go before making a purchasing decision. This will basically replace all ads which are now mingled within content plus tracking, making regular ads and dat-collecting and privacy invading middle-men unnecessary.
- ADZlink: Little script or WP plugin which publishers can install on their site which adds just 1 non-intrusive link to our shopping portal and replaces ALL ads on their site. The ADZlink detects ADZbuzz uBlock visitors and will pay publishers the same way as they get paid currently from ad networks, in ADZcoin our cryptocurrency.
- The ADZlink also allows publishers to share their content on ADZbuzz, our social network driving even more buzz to their content and a huge extra benefit for using the ADZlink.

So why would you use ADZbuzz uBlock instead of uBlock origin?

It's a conscious decision to either:

-> Use an adblocker that blocks ads and nothing else (uBlock origin)
-> Use an ad blocker that does exactly the same but actively supports publishers when you visit their site automatically (ADZbuzz uBlock)

I think only dark minds would keep on using uBlock origin if there's an alternative like ADZbuzz uBlock that actually rewards the sites that you visit. Smiley

About your question, if Faucet owners add the ADZlink to their site then they will earn from it just like any other publisher so that will indeed be a solution and a section of business owners we can offer our solution to.

Hope that helps!
Jens

Thanks OP for taking the time with this detailed explanation - it's a good sign of the seriousness behind it and this certainly will lead me to trying out the extension. The main idea I like is that is addresses the situation of site owners who need advertising income to run their website.

My sympathies are with them: they want to help spread bitcoin in a small way (many people including myself got our very first satoshi from faucets) but cannot do so without ads. At the same time, it's very troublesome (and even harmful) to visit faucets without adblock... just for a few satoshi. I know it's a niche, and a small one, but faucets are very important to bitcoin to me. And they are in a sad state now - you can see new faucets dying very quickly as advertisers also slowly stop accepting faucet site traffic.

If you can find a way to work with them, we could see faucets getting a new lease of life. Good luck!

Thanks much appreciated!

Yeah you are right and I totally agree, if faucets will use the ADZlink which replaces current ads which are honestly annoying and ineffective, they can easily add an extra income stream to their site.

2 ways:

-> They will earn daily ADZ from their traffic (just like regular advertising)
-> They will earn daily ADZ from the referrals by promoting this page: https://ublock.adzbuzz.com/promo/

I'm 100% sure that they will earn more from the ADZ system than from regular ads in the long run (since they will earn passively from their affiliates). Smiley

I'll make sure to contact faucet owners with this tip once our completed system is ready to be deployed.

Have a nice day!
Jens

Good to hear all of this Jens! Already one of the biggest owners at faucetbox has announced closure and all the new independent faucets I followed this year closed shop within 2 months.

I will try to spread the word in my own limited network. Good luck!

Thanks a lot much appreciated!
