I think it will be a good day to buy up Bitcoin and also celebrate because we will be moving forward with better technology. Bitcoin is going to grow up and progress on August 1st.

I don't think so. The value of Bitcoin fell gradually starting July 7, 2017...

Bitcoin value: $2581.46 - July 7, 2017
Bitcoin value: $2482.85 - July 10, 2017
Bitcoin value: $2370.97 - July 13, 2017
Bitcoin value: $2254.59 - July 14, 2017
Bitcoin value: $2206.73 - July 15, 2017
I think people are having a panic with their bitcoins and sell it , Even altcoins are going down. Just keep Relaxed your mind and hope that bitcoin would fall down into its price last year.

Reflects how panic people are, but, if the result after 1st August is good, the price could sky rocket just in short time. The rightest time to buy bitcoin is when bitcoin on its lower point which is 1 August supposedly.
Though, it's like gambling, no one could predict what will actually happen.

I feel like everything is going to go crashing down on august 1st haha.

It's crashing now and not until August 1. The question is what will you do about it. Will you join others on panic? Or will you stay and hold?

It could be just doubt or could be fear for the unknown.
But theymos already input a news about how we could prevent lost of our bitcoins.
So, we could just follow it to be safer.
About the price, we dont really know if it will make a big nudge. That is our fear now. It is our money that we invested in and we dont want to be risking that because of their decision. We want ourselves to be in control with our own money that is why we picked bitcoin and not banks.

am i the only one who's not anxious about august 1? i feel everyone is very worried about it, and i feel different about it, i think "august 1" is an opportunity to buy more bitcoins, especially if the price will go down.?

As you said yes it is a good opportunity to enter or accumulate more bitcoins. But don't wait for August 1st to buy instead start buying now with smaller quantity so that you will get a good average price per bitcoin. If you invested for the long term then should start buying on ever dip from now on. Also look at some good altcoins which have come down very badly to buy at a cheaper price now.

People here are champions when it comes to exaggerating certain situations/happenings. People just assume there will be a chain split, while in reality there may not be one happening at all. If I point percentages to a chain split becoming reality, and a chain split not becoming reality, it would be sitting on 50/50. People here make it seem like the percentage ratio sits more at 90/10. Roll Eyes
yes that is the reality but still people are feeling reluctant and that is the reason most of the people try to avoid holding bitcoin in such situation. but i think the wise people will try and mange to hold bitcoin, because they can better understand the nature of bitcoin, i think trading bitcoin below 2000$ will be more suitable and profitable to buy.

People are worried about what if bitcoin splited in to two camps, the price would go down, for those who bought in 2000+ dollars is painfull seeing the price crashing down, personally i'm not worried about it since i sell all of my bitcoins, now i'm not holding any bitcoin. I've been told by some people that if we don't controll our private key during chain split some things may happen, like our bitcoin will be zero since it choose a wrong chain or have same bitcoin on both chains or maybe nothing happen, i think this is why people are worried about it.

Why should i afraid when it is a step towards bitcoins ultimate success? For those who doesn't know about August 1, there would be a split. And it is where the transaction of bitcoin will become faster onto your wallet. But you should know that there would be a hige dump of bitcoin. Not to fud but I think it will be 500 usd.
That’s what exactly my point is. August 1st is just another ride to moon, nothing else. Even in case, the prices dump, they will definitely pump soon, rewarding the investors who passed this wave of fluctuation successfully. In short, bitcoins are worth holding no matter what the date or time is.

Afraid? Not. Excited? Absolutely yes. I mean come on, the day that we have been discussing for years is finally knocking on the door. Why should we be afraid of it?
Because many things could go wrong, and some people have some serious money invested in bitcoin, if they wait for too long they may be unable to withdraw their money, if they try to withdraw their money then the price may crash as many other people do the same, it is not a simple situation we are facing.
