According to this article: https://digitain.com/africa-the-first-mobile-continent-for-sports-betting-and-gaming/
Africa can be a potential country for gambling because operators were moving to Africa to expand their network and offer their online betting and gaming services.
In that article, it says that people in Africa make bets using mobile devices. And maybe when cryptocurrency already introduces in that country, Africa could be the next target for the gambling industry to expand their business in that country.

Bitcoin FTW!
Africa as a continent I think is the poorest of all continents. However bitcoin has removed barriers and boundaries to anyone who knows and use it. I am sure there are a lot of members here from African countries and also many of them are playing in different bitcoin casinos. Borders and barriers means nothing when bitcoin is being used.
Africa's indeed the poorest country if you're measuring by GDP per capita (but by just GDP it's not the poorest), and even though Bitcoin does indeed remove many limitations that people normally can't circumvent, the majority of people in Africa simply can't afford to gamble or afford to purchase any part of a Bitcoin. There's indeed wealthy and well-off people in Africa, but there's still a bigger market elsewhere for cryptocurrency gambling in places like the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Bitcoin and casinos aren't going to magically lift Africa out of poverty.  The United States and global military is at fault here.  They overthrew Libya because they wanted to establish a gold currency and the United States wasn't having that!  If other countries just left Africa alone from the start they would be doing just fine.
They took advantage on this and they really want to destroy one country just to support their own interest. Its a great big continent but its luck on the support of the government and other countries, there’s a big potential for cryptocurrency on some part of Africa, in gambling can also be a good place since they also bet a lot.

Oh mate, I do understand that you see the potential of cryptocurrency gambling/betting in Africa since they are still at the stage of development. Well, here's what I can tell about it since it's South Africa, I would not recommend anyone to establish a gambling platform there since gambling is I can tell a profitable business that is sustained by the greed of the gamblers. If I were you, I would start to establish a company that will provide jobs from that specific country and at least give them a 0.xxxx01% of GDP/growth of the economy. Sometimes it's not about the money, it's about the vision that is clear to help others.

I think future of gambling is very bright in Africa and Asia. You will not find as many casino as in Europe and USA. Africa and Asia market is very under development in terms of gambling and casino, although in some countries the ratio is quite good also.

Development of casino in these continents will be a good business idea and can give a lot of money in return if implemented properly.

Infrastructure and facilities become a matter that must be considered when developing digital currencies on the African continent. There are still many people who lack and do not have access to the internet. The government must work hard to provide technological infrastructure and when that is fulfilled then the digital currency can be applied far more widely on the African continent.

I'm still missing something? What is the point about this thread?
for catch up the post/week!

Nope, hes aiming for the maximum 60 post per week.  Grin Just like others saying here i dont get the point on what op is trying to say.
Lets say there is a good opportunity for betting industry in africa, then what? Is he trying to make a business there.? haha
We have to understand his situation, maybe he really needs to meet that.  Grin
Well, the information being brought to us is quiet limited and there's no specific reason for this. If its growing industry in Africa then investors will take that opportunity but again, it still depend if the people there are knowledgeable enough about cryptocurrency or they still resist to adopt.

Just wanted you to have this information because many of us don't know the potentials built in this Africa continent:

Also, it might be of great interest for you to know that; Most traded National Currencies for Bitcoin is shown below.

lol you guys . please stop , dont bully the guy . maybe he's only concern about his fellow country men . i like him because he's pretty observant and he do care's about the sake of others   .   africa itself is known to be a poor country but people are still dedicated to gamble . maybe because they want to improve thier lives but their idea is a no good  .  or maybe they love gambling as a form of enterntainment ? well if thats the case then lets help them  push it .

I don't see any reason why OP should be ridicule rather he express concern on Africa untapped casino gambling related opportunity. Never forget that the said continent is the second most populated continent in the world:

So with this, OP has not only wanted to increase his/her daily post rather sharing the most lucrative opportunity  in  Africa which is yet to be tap by investors. Let me use this opportunity to beckon on investors to channel their investment to Africa and to the most populated Africa country:

Likely just to make enough posts for his signature campaign. Nobody in their right mind considers a third world continent as an "untapped betting opportunity".

Africa has a good population although most of its country are still at the development stage but there is a huge interest about betting and I think this is an opportunity that can be tapped into

I doubt it because 45% of African population is Muslim and gambling is strictly forbidden in Islam religion. So the gambling business will have to factor out these 45% population from their potential customer's list. Another big challenge is the internet access. A study from Amnesty International shows that only 13% people have access to internet in Africa which may be proved as a roadblock. There are exceptions like Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria which has good internet coverage, but majority of the African region are still living without any kind of internet access.

The last and final factor is the per capita income. In this parameter, African countries are one of the lowest countries in per capita income. Gambling business usually needs people with liquid and disposable cash in hand. When people are struggling to get a very basic income, it is not very wise for the gambling business owners to start a gambling business targeting African region.

I think it doesn't really matter what the price of bitcoin is honestly, because of two reasons, first of all even if it came to a level where the lowest faucet is 1 satoshi it doesn't really matter because the amount you are getting dollar is always the same. The max reward is 200 dollars so if bitcoin drops to 200 dollars you get 1 bitcoin, if it goes to 200k dollars you still get 200 dollars (0.001?) so nothing changes.

Talking about the lightning network, you do not get the faucet directly to your wallet, the faucet gives you the money on the website and you keep on getting the faucet more and more and eventually have enough to send it to your wallet. Which means it doesn't require that much cost when once a week they send out a total balance to everyone who asks for it and combine them together, its already cheap.

It would be difficult if it was like one faucet one withdraw one faucet one withdraw but that would be crazy so instead they do it many many faucet and one withdraw all together which will work even if bitcoin was 100 thousand dollars.

Yes there is a huge market that needs to be tapped into but the part of concern is the issue of crypto currency. Gambling activities would be springing up which is is not too hard to regulate and monitor when fiat is involved but the same thing cannot be said in the case of crypto. Crypto industry is one that regulate is going to be hard for countries in Africa considering the infrastructural challenges that abound in the continent and the level of expertise that is needed to run a crime free crypto currency gambling industry.

Ultimately, this might be surpassed if there is a framework for KYCs that is acceptable to regulators and there is assurance that compliance would be effect to the maximum.

I have mix emotions about this one, I mean we know what state current Africa nations are, so I don't know if they are suitable for gambling related opportunities.

Government has their hands full on tackling lot of economic problems, and as citizens, it doesn't make sense for you go get your hands dirty if ever gambling was introduce. There is opportunity, but not as big as anyone would thought.

I don't think there is any African countries that are not involved in crypto currency in one way or the other. What ever you can think off in relation to crypto currency are all happening African countries.
