Just few hours before hardfork date (snapshot block) followed by massive dump to below $5k as people might sell all their bitcoin when snapshot of bitcoin's blockchain will be taken, they might also sell all free bitcoin gold they will get after hardfork just like they have sold bitcoin cash on august.

I think $6500 is possible or even $7k is possible before fork but price might remain at below $5 for next few months (till next year) after fork.

Whoa man, chill. We just passed the 6000 dollar mark and it even had a slight drop afterwards. It is best to keep things one at a time. 6000 USD is a good foundation since after the fork, the price is perceived to go higher. We will get there after the hardforks, considering that all ends well without any other issue or drama to rise.

At this point the price has gone up beyond what would be seen as a reasonable increase due to an upcoming chain split event. People currently act like this event is the main reason the price is going up, while there is no way to find out until we actually see the price correct itself after the split. Nothing justifies to buy the price up to this extent since there is no way to know up front whether or not the split tokens will end up having a worthy value. I am quite sure that a lot people will end up being very disappointed in the eventual value of these split tokens -- the expectations are simply far too high....

I think bitcoin price will reach to $6500 before this year end. I am positive this will happen because as these days price is jumping high. So there is a big chance it will happen, yes there will be a little dump after the hard fork but it will continue to rise.

Now that Bitcoin has broken the $6000 mark, it could continue to $6500 unless enough people cash in profits. Another thing that seems to happen with Bitcoin is that there are panic buyers that see the price hit new highs and want to jump on the bandwagon before it’s too late. These are also the ones that will probably panic sell as soon as the price starts to drop. That’s one reason why I think trading is so unpredictable. People make decisions based on emotion rather than by a set of rules or targets.

What you are telling is true but what i am expecting is that this Bitcoin Gold Hard fork will be failure and which will lead to price correction. As now all are expecting the Hard fork to happen and get the free coin and earn free bitcoins but what if the big whales start to dump on high and before fork make the price go down.

We went from $5000 to $5800 in a single day. It won't take a lot for Bitcoin to reach $6500. For all you know, you could go to bed, wake up and find that the price has crossed $6500. It won't surprise me at all!

Before end of next week we may cross $6,500 as the market has making significant progress since yesterday to this evening. I think we may need to buy now as my friend that bought last week has make over 30% PROFITS. We should not also forgot that after 25th we may experience another serious bullish momentum like what happened in August this year. I do also believe that we don't need governments to legalized bitcoin and cryptocoins in general before we make significant progress on blockchain technology. anyway, of course that it is going to happen, but we dont know if it is really going to happen before the hard fork is done, or a few weeks after it gets done, because you all know that the price will drop a lot once that the fork is solved.
But i dont know, we must see how it goes in the next days before making any conclusions about it and the price.
