Google and facebook are just one company. After them, we never know whose next but since these two giants companies are powerful, then you now have the hints whose next. In terms of negative impact of these actions, yes, there are. It will greatly affect the ICOs since they are relying on popularity or reaching more audience as investors.

I don't see any possibility of money laundering through crypto advertisements. I mean what makes you think that crypto ads can get your money laundered! The crypto advert is meant for publishing different project ideas amongst the targeted people who are interested in spending money into these projects. These projects are mostly related to the different utility tokens, automobile industry or even healthcare projects etc. If you think that by any means this is money laundering then I dont think you have understood the concept completely. Both are different things in first place.
Yeah it's a different thing if you're going to go for the meaning of money laundering, I think the proper terminology for this is the scam, money laundering might be after you got scammed cause the scammers need to make their illegal and stolen assets into a legitimate form of money, For the OP's question it is for the protection of the future potential investors in the cryptocurrency because I've encountered tons of people who got scammed from a crypto project found on a google or facebook ads later on they keep telling that cryptocurrency is just a scam accusing the whole crypto a scam can't blame them though.

The ICO market will be affected not the holder not even the established coins. It's just a ban to protest scams, not to revoke cryptos. I don't think I'm going to take any action with my tokens/coins and every hodler should move smoothly as they do. One more thing, It's good to ban scam ICO's for advertising, many scammers are taking advantage of this. Investing $100 in advertising but taking $10000 without giving anything to the original users.

I do not understand what will happen to bitcoin, will bitcoin be extinct, but we as bitcoin users must be united in order to realize its glory. but with the ban making the crypto movement narrower, and hopefully the founder of this crypto can fix it.

This will affect and yeah, it's already affected the price of the Bitcoin but definitely it's just for a quite short period of time, and please correct me if i am wrong, FB only banned those links for some MLM cryptocurrencies and not totally ban all of them, look at your wall, still, there's a lot of that posts promoting cryptocurrencies.

Every news can affect on the holders of it, when there is a negative news a lot of beginner in holding coins would panic and the tendency of it they sell their coin even if the value is too small and that is the reason why market is dumping so hard and hard to recover, but I think that news is just a fud so many hodlers panic again and they will lost their profit.

Banning ICOs may have a ripple effect due to the advertisement advantages in
facebook, google and others. In the short term, this may affect the value of crypto
currencies. In the long term, there shall be resolutions from viable ICOs and
major coinmarket top-notchers to create a formidable crypto digital advertisement
sites which may be independent of facebook and google. These are attempts by elites
to frustrate the popularity of crypto currenecies.

Not long for now they will going to announce that they will accept it again. It is all about manipulation and we should learn to join them with it.

Naturally, the market would react negatively to such an event. Major websites such as Facebook and Google removing these type of ads could be a huge blunder short-term, but in the long run, this move will greatly diminish the amount of scams happening due to people being gullible and easily attracted by these ponzi adverts. The price might hurt right now but this is actually a great favor made by these tech giants.

What do you expect? Facebook and Google are two titans in social media industry, so for sure there will be a impact. But the question is, how big and how long is the impact gonna be? In my opinion, it will be short lived. How many negative news that we have overcome since the inception of bitcoin? And we have seen much worst news that this and we survived. The only long term effect that I'm seeing is that those legit ICO will have to look for other platforms to promote their product. Its really sad though to see, they are really affected, but I guess it will just be a matter of time that social medias will have to weed out those bad eggs so that they can't take advantage and possible scam more people in the future.

I don't think so. They didn't banned it totally as I still see some crypto ads in google. But if ever that happens, google has a BIG reason for it. Relevant or irrelevant then I will still support both crypto and google.

I think it is good to regulate the ads than totally banning it,because it will cut down their revenue a lot too.But still there is now way to find the legits and scam ICOs so they stopped promoting all the ads.But in future they may arrange separate team for reviwing the ads before prmoting them straightly. So it is good for them and also for the people too.

In this article it is said that this update will go into effect on June 18, that's 3 months from today - a lot of things might change, so it's too early to make any conclusions yet. And I don't think that this will affect BTC spreading. People always find out about cool things, no matter what social and mass media do.

Ever news affects the crypto users especially the holders, I don't know why we get too affected on banning when in reality it is just the ICO that needs to be alarmed not the market, before I gets too panicked when price drops but after I see how those coins I sell before increase now, I don't fear now as long as the project of that coin is still moving.
Because some people specially the newbies have been misinterpreted the FUD news. They thought that banning of ICO or any cryptocurrency advertisement in google or bitcoin makes a bad effect in the market. That's why a lot of people withdraw some of their investment in cryptocurrency.

That is good thing from google if they stop showing ICO ads, because most of them are scam. Those ICO project should use members for advertising them on twitter and facebook  (bounty campaign), so people who follow them on social media can see about ICO..  btw. I think that banning ICO ads from Google won't have effect on Bitcoin price at all.

In my point of view, this is definitely bad for bitcoin or any cryptocurrency. Facebook and Google are one of the most searched websites, meaning many people across the globe see what is in there. Since crypto related advertisements are now banned on those sites, therefore, many people can no longer see such ads that may probably result to huge reduction on ICO's sales. But ICO developers are not the only one who are affected in this news, even the whole crypto community does. Very sad to know that we lost a medium to bridged the gap between crypto knowledge and people.

Well obviously i don't think that this will affect bitcoin in particularity, all the ads that face book and google have banned, are ads for ICO and tokens, they haven't banned bitcoin ads because they don't exist, up until now bitcoin made it  all the way to 10k without relaying too much about advertisement, in my opinion this actually might boost the bitcoin prices and investments, because as i said all the banned ads are related to ICO, and they are the reason why we are not seeing usual investments into bitcoin, and with them gone all the money will go into the bitcoin market.

we have to forget these news because they only create an unnecessary panic... I have not seen the statistics that show how many scam ICOs are released on facebook and google for them to make such a decision, or do they want to pull the bag from banks and governments to have a good image? Anyway, we have to forget about this news, we will have other services and as for the subject of ICOs scam, it will be very difficult to fight them and at these times we have to have regulations, but regulations without exaggeration.

“This policy is part of an ongoing effort to improve the integrity and security of our ads, and to make it harder for scammers to profit from a presence on Facebook

many people post links from hyip/ponzi sites, maybe it's time for facebook to do something about it
