is there a difference between BCC and BCH? If there is what is it. I thought it was a 2 way fork not a 3 way. Any help appreciated.

There is no difference between BCC and BCH as far as I have read, exchanges had to call them different things because of existing tickers.

That just seems confusing.

The difference in some exchange is due to BCC ticker is an old altcoin so which ever exchange it is trading they have given the bitcoin cash another short name that is BCH. both are same. But due to this where so many users have bought BCC which is actually not bitcoin cash coin,

So guys, i was just wondering, what good or bad effects did the bitcoin fork gibe you??
Good day.
If you checked the price difference then you could understand the major difference and the transaction price have come down ,but the negative thing about it is ,the exchanges and web wallets are still charging higher fees and it looks like they have ignored this change and give the customers the real benefit.

I'd be interested to know this too.  Thanks for asking.

There are a lot of resources online that explain what this means technically, but I am interested in how this will affect BTC holders practically.

I did not benefited from bch airdrop but I am still happy because the fork pushed the price of bitcoin really high. I do not regret not receiving bch because of the price increase.

Good day.
I got some free bitcoincash to dump for few thousand dollar which is just a free money and I was strongly holding all my bitcoins during fork and price have increased by over 20% after fork so I earned few more thousands. So collectively I almost double my holding in terms of fiat during this hard fork chaos.  Grin

I also felt that the incident might just be a regret in me, because I was so panicked about the incident and I immediately sold Bitcoin at the time, maybe this is a very bad thing in my life that I experienced for this event.

Good day.

The Hardfork shouldn't have huurt anyone for the most part. the price has been going up and up from it, I think I saw 3,500 somewhere at some point

The only way Ican think of people losing out on tons of money was if they sold when it was at 1,800(which is an obvious buy for most of us), then the pric ekept going back up to 3,400 ish...

Did people also not have access to their private keys? Free Clams, free BCC, free other coins. Seems like always having a balance of BTC gets you other coins too.

I see only two events that occurred after the split. One event is the price of bitcoin went up. And the second event, some people received free coins of the BCC, which they now trade on the exchange

I've sold all BCH for a good price and I'm very grateful for the free money.

There were no negative effects from it, free money is great. Cheesy

How do you get free bch??

Good day.

I face all the risks including all the negative speculations prior to August 1st events. If win then win, if lose then lose.

And now, it was being compensated with the current price right now plus the value of BCH. We have some positive things to be considered to become an optimist back then while August 1st is approaching especially with the updates about the possible things to happen. I decided to bet on the future because I see it's worth a shot and now look at what happened.

BTC and BCH is currently on hand and just idled.

I obviously gained a few extra Bitcoins, since I sold all of my BCC after the fork had happened. Otherwise, I don't think Bitcoin Cash really had an effect on the Bitcoin price, but I could be wrong about that one. I don't know about any other effects Bitcoin cash could have given me.

This is actually a common experience for many Bitcoin holders. The fork became a big blessing for people who have Bitcoin left in a wallet and exchange which declared support for Bitcoincash (BCH). In other words, we got some free money because we got BCH which many exchange now accept.

Remember that before August 1, there were so many hypes and lies surrounding the coming fork and possible split. The split has proven to be not a threat but a big treat since we received our own share of BCH which most converted to BTC as soon as possible.

Will there be another fork coming...as long as it would give me some free money...then why not?

I don't believe the fork has had a significant effect on me personally. Other than the fact that I'm sitting tighter on bitcoin as ever. I still haven't sold my Bcc because I don't want to risk losing my bitcoin.

There are good things and bad things about the fork that affected not only me, but the community as a whole. An upside is that competition is always good, longterm or shortterm. Having competition is always healthy in terms of productivity on both sides, whereas there will be less slacking off because of the competition, even though BTC is clearly ahead of BCC, though, that might change in the future, when thinking of the possibilities even though the chances are low. I'm not saying that it will, though. Just possible. A huge downside is that newcomers would be confused about the difference of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. As it may seem synonymous to them.
