Anyone know of anyone/anywhere that does this? Potentially interested. Miles or other reward points exchangeable for flights (assuming this is legal and allowed) is also okay too.

I'm buying many fly tickets, but how you can ensure me that they do not retract a reservation? In Bitcoin and cryptocurrency world it can be only escrow. Do we have any escrow that can guarantee this kind of transactions?

I don't thing escrow is a good option here. I mean for security is but someone maybe buy the ticket in last minutes and wants just to receive the e-ticket in his email ,print it and go to jump on the plane. In such case escrow can only delay you the arrival of the e-tickets. The only choice is for these websites to add trustpilot a trust review for businesses website and for us to believe them first. We can try very cheap flights as a beginning of only 20-30 euro. I didn't know any website used to sell electronic flight tickets with bitcoin and I am very pleasantly surprised to see not just one but some of such websites.

I see the reason that you might want to do this, but at the same time, there has to be a serious impact on the attachment of your idenity to that particular Bitcoin address.  While there may be sites and companies that sell the tickets for Bitcoins, they are surely going to get your info at some point for security reasons and that will mean that BTC address and you can end up linked.

Not that it is an issue for some people, but for others it is completely against what they believe Bitcoin is all about. It depends on person to person views.

Yes, Stuff like this really promote bitcoins. Now we can see there is no place where bitcoins is not used. Everyone interested in bitcoins because of its features and this includes the Airline Industry also  Wink

Yes, it is one of the fastest ways of payment and can be transferred internationally. I'm  curious to know how trusted cheapair is if you are able to pay with Bitcoin for it.

Also, is there any comparitable discount as payment is faster in Bitcoin?

Getting Airplanes tickets is first of its kind and it will bring a new life in the bitcoin world. Cost can be reduced by 2 to 3% if we use bitcoins as a payment method as no taxes are involved in bitcoins

It depends on where you live if taxes are involved. However, almost everywhere has the tax on Bitcoin as an unregulated system that relies on fear and trust.

-Flight Ticket booking through a third part is not easy as it seems.
-No,no official services have come across this far which allows you to buy flight ticks with bitcoins.
-Don't reply on third parties either because once the payment is done, you can't reverse it and what if you miss the flight ? To get adjusted to next available flight, you have to pay more or manage from the given amount which means, you'd hae to stay in touch with the third party until you land at your destination.

If you'd read some posts here you'd know that there is something that offers this. Obviously, don't read the entire thread, but reading at least the first and last post is useful to gather information.

I can see this as being difficult to accomplish due to certain country restrictions.
Expedia is the first site that I have heard of that accepts bitcoin as payment for their flights but as it was mentioned it is for united states citizens only.

I searched for this a bit and apparently these services offer bitcoin plane tickets:

https://www.cheapair.com/
http://www.sky-tours.com
http://destinia.com/
https://btctrip.com/
http://www.abitsky.com
http://www.fluege.com/
https://www.airbaltic.com/en/alternative-payment

http://www.expedia.com/ - I am not sure if they continue their BTC support

I haven't tested any of these services, so I can't recommend any of it. You need to check it out yourself.

That's quite a good list. I know that expedia.com are probably a good site as they are advertised in many places (I think). Do all of these have btc support? Also, if you try to see if they're scam or not by testing regular things such as the country origin of the company and the owner (which should be publicly available.
expedia still support bitcoin payment but it's for us citizens only I think.

Yes .. Agree with you, feared by deception or fraud in the case to seek advantage in adding Bitcoin to buy a plane ticket, I think it was a good idea but should prove and provide trust others so much interested in it. ..

In my own opinion why bother yourself with looking for this probably you have interest in developing something like that, then I dont know but if its to get one then I will just suggest you convert your coins to FIAT then make it happen...

I think OP wants to get any discount by paying bitcoin, but in case want just to spend bitcoin then there are many options like funding a bitcoin debit card and spend the money like with normal credit card. OP I think I have seen something about flights and hotels but I remember that were posted from newbies, so it's not much safe.

This is correct. Sorry, should've clarified.

I do not think that current any airplane service has stared accepted payment in bitcoins. It will be a great initivate if any airplane start receiving payment in bitcoins.
