I have nothing against marijuana. Whatever, but I hope my children won't waste their time with it, because at it's best that's what weed is.

Time you enjoy wasting is not time wasted, said Lennon. Sure, if you just lie down on a couch and flip channels all night long, you could be as well dead, but weed (along of other substances) also offers huge creativity boost, to levels that cannot be reached in any other way. It's not a coincidence that world's most acclaimed artists, musicians, poets and writers were drug users (and abusers). Moderation is the key to everything, as water will kill you in excess.

Kudos to the OP, screw alcohol.

If you're so good at moving numbers around to make profit, why can you not afford food?

I never said I cant afford food. I said I just make enough money to barley make ends meet.

Plus in order to for me to jump right in to something like this, or similar, I would need an initial investment. But thats what Im striving to put together right now. It just will take awhile is all. But thats alright too. Anything worth having, is worth working for. I just wont be able to jump right in like some people have the ability too. Plus with bitcoin, I still very much need to fully understand the market. I have a lot to learn. Thats why Ive spent countless hours just watching price changes over at BTC-E, and reading the forums here. I'm still learning. I'm not going to drop any amount of money on anything I don't fully understand. So for now, I just do what I can while try to learn how this market works. but Im getting it Smiley

All in due time Smiley

I have been there, now almost 30 and I'm still trying to dig myself out. Lost my home and all my savings. But I really do think bitcoin or an equivalent will change the world. We already have an internet that lets us share words/music/video freely, when we can share money (bitcoin) and tangible goods (3d printing) freely I believe will be the next step.

Just stick in there. I would really recommend working out on a regular basis, whether its running biking lifting weights swimming, whatever, it will make worlds of difference in how you feel about yourself

Thank you for typing all that. Hope it’ll caution/help someone.

I’ve seen my friend having a stroke at 14 and neighbours I had known for 10+ years (rich folks, no worries in life) had their children taken away from them as a result of an addiction. Alcohol was always that first step. You should be glad you had not enough health/money to escalate and managed to stop yourself.

It is possible to find equilibrium with minor, non-class A drugs, or so is ‘known’ and actively promoted by the governments - ‘Do not regularly exceed ‘n’ units per day’, otherwise treat it as your best friend. We’ll keep it nicely taxed, but cheap and readily available. We’ll even foot the NHS bill and look after your health since we make more money that way (and keep you ‘happy’, placid and subdued).

To be frank i cannot even think of certain dishes without corresponding wine accompaniment. It is tough to go against the perceived ‘culture’. One can only hope to find another interests (like Bitcoin Wink ) in time and concentrate on those.

The only thing I have plans to be addicted to is bitcoin hahaha, and my health.

I say to each their own. Weeds, pills, etc was never my thing regardless. Alcohol was the only thing I ever liked in terms of a "drug". All the other stuff was not to my liking.

I do appreciate the concern, but feel great these days! I wouldn't jeopardize that. Because I never know, I might not make it out alive next time.

The thing about the addict mind is the addict needs to be addicted to something at all times. Its just how our minds are wired. I just focus this addiction on things that will promote success now, and personal heath instead Smiley

Great idea.. I am a huge bitcoin Junkie Smiley Went from 2 GPU's to 14 now to hopefully about 25 in the next week.. Smiley

Well I was heavily addicted to opiates for years due to back surgery... Marijuana helped me a lot to get off of them....

Didn't mean to be an ass, I just don't understand why you would encourage someone else to pick up pot, especially someone with a history of addiction. It's true that weed is way "better" than opiates.

if you want a buzz.. Smoke a joint....... Smiley

I knew this was coming. Such terrible advice. Is this how you validate your own vices?

I have nothing against marijuana. Whatever, but I hope my children won't waste their time with it, because at it's best that's what weed is. A waste of time (at least to a non-medical or pseudo-medical user).

@OP, amazing story! I was inspired.

Which is better... 160mg of Oxycodone per day or 1 half gram of pot per day ?

You're looking great dude.. Healthy compared to those old pic's...

Your face was all fat and not happy looking like you are now...

Keep it up and if you want a buzz.. Smoke a joint....... Smiley I have always been against Alcohol abuse...

Thanks man! Yeah on top of quiting drinking, this year I really needed to focus on my health in general. I about killed myself in terms of health.

Last year I reclaimed my mind, this year Im working on reclaiming my body. Slow process, but its something I work on everyday.

How I feel today as a person compared to over a year and a half ago is not short of amazing. The battles been rough, but so worth it Smiley

Thanks again for the kind words!
