Imagine this situation. The creators of the online wallet remain completely anonymous and the community perceives this as a good indicator, because special services can not take control of the service. But it turns out to be fraud

Alert - freewallet.org scam!!!!. For about a year or so have kept 1 xmr on freewallet.org Android wallet. I can not take it out. I have to assume they have spent the customers coins. Just another group of thief's is exposed when price goes up. History repeats itself. Stay away from freewallet you will get your coins stolen

rpg, have you tried contacting our in-app support? Please get back to us and tell us more about the issue you experienced along with your user id; we'd be glad to help you get your XMR successfully transferred to the destination of your choice.

There can be a number of reasons your transaction didn't go through. Unsupported destination address? Network lags? Connection troubles? Minor bugs unaccounted for at that time, but fixed in the recent releases? It's hard to say. Your post dates back to June, we've expanded our team since then and released quite a number of updates, so whatever the reason for this issue was, we should be able to resolve it now. Looking forward to your reply!

The OP is correct. Their wallet is a complete scam. Its all over Reddit that they are stealing everyone's funds over to their own addresses like

https://etherscan.io/address/0x11b85b4e2fadaebe04a251377aa35b9be3c785f0

So far $8 million stolen and counting.

More info:

https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/6gtrmd/freewalletorg_scam_millions_stolen/

was only aware of other people complaining on the play store. Lets continue to get the word out so new people don't open new wallets there

Why use a wallet like that? There are many much more reputable wallets out there.
Something like Jaxx would be a better choice, not sure if they have added XMR support yet though.

Jaxx canceled XMR aka Monero integration few weeks ago. As XMR is not based on pure bitcoin it is not that easy for light wallets to add it. I also know that coinomi had some issues to add XMR for instance (coinomi is a lightweight android wallet) and at end they are waiting for devs to sort things out to make it easier to integrate XMR to coinomi, but are still waiting.

Here is an article about jaxx and Monero : https://cointelegraph.com/news/jaxx-cancels-monero-integration-cites-difficulties-working-with-community I am fairly confident that XMR might even be added to jaxx in the future, will wait and see.

If free wallet has a problem with xmr then they should have canceled it like jaxx did. Someone from there contacted me wanting to know a txid. But their server refuses a transaction so never creates a txid or course. Same old same old . Scammers always have excuses. Just glad I don't have any really sized monero in there. But other people maybe on the hook for a lot more. The complains on the play store have started to accumulate

I was experimenting with the online android wallets a year ago. 1 monero really doesn't worry me. But other people may have more or maybe thinking in using them. This is an alert for those people. I keep all of my coins on my computer. I don't even trust exchanges as they can be hacked

As they don't give you the private keys you shouldn't trust them at all.... it's like holding your coins on an exchange and trusting it with your coins, you trust the provider that he will send them to your desired address when you want to. Always try to use wallets where only you have access to your private keys.

Although its kinda hard to find the light wallet for XMR, I don't think there is one tho.

Well, that is a lesson. You can't blame yourself all the time because we don't know what will happen indeed. That is part of the crypto world, scammers are everywhere so nextime let's be more aware and choose the right platform to use.  For this time, just move on and forget about it.

Although I have not used the services of this site before, as I only restrict my use to only those site who's reputation mattered to them and they have successfully built over the years only for it to go down the drain. But the issue is have you tried contacting them, the response the gave will go a long way in proving they are truly scammers and why do you have to wait for a year before coming out.

Because I had the coin forgotten over there.
