Once the money is showing as "Pending" on your credit card it isn't up to AliExpress anymore.

Each credit card company (bank) has their own policies and procedures for reversing charges.

True.

But since I'm not the OP I'm not aware of how it all came to pass.

Maybe AliExpress didn't like the fact that the seller was accepting Western Union, Bank Transfers and bitcoin via their listings.

I've seen lots of sellers on AliExpress offer non-escrow options.  Obviously AliExpress doesn't get a cut if the seller and buyer bypass the escrow.

Sorry for the delayed response. AliExpress gave the seller the 3days to respond, since he did not, on the 4th day the refund showed as pending in my credit card. Am not sure either how the seller tried to scam me, must be really dumb or thinking AlieExpress is dumb. I still a lot of shady dealers on that site tho!

Glad to hear you got your money back. Smiley

Crazy how i can trust AliExpress more than MinerSource. that dude still hasn't sent me my refund and just stopped answering my emails since last week!

It is already 1 month since OP made this thread, and he still haven't got his money back... Sad

The message said 15 calendar days and then they would start the refund process.  So it must be escrow.

Maybe not. What would the point of scamming be if they use escrow?

Jeez, sorry to hear that though does sound like Aliexpress is doing its job...

Probably wont matter if the seller has took the money and run. What is their refund policy? Do they keep or hold on to the money in escrow?

aliexpress has more scammers than honest sellers, a quick google search could have told you that

Ali Baba can mean thief.   Wink

With that said... my order (230 GH/s Avalon miner) went off without any serious issues.
Quite happy.

I posted my experience --

Be careful who you deal with.  Send them messages, ask questions before you order and use the ESCROW (AliExpress) service.

So i ordered this 200gh/s Avalon http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Perfect-200gh-s-bitcoin-miner/1606285868.html on Thursday of last week. got shipping confirmation and all... and this morning i wake to this in my email:

So please be careful placing your orders... if anything, this kind of restores my faith in Aliexpress.
