Buying from Europe might be the thing to do now.  You need to pay exchange rate fees and tons for shipping, but you avoid things like VAT so we might be able to import them cheaper than the locals can get.  I'm just not sure about the laws and regulations if you ordered a bunch.

I know where you can find 5830s for 100€ + shipping.
Selling the info for a total of 5btc.  Grin
If you have anyone else looking for them you could make a collect...
wow, another business opportunity for you!
Too bad I am in USA, and 100pound is very expensive for a card like that in USA

newegg.com is the only place I was able to even find a card for under $200 with decent hash rates.  Good luck.  I put in orders with several different sites only to have them cancelled days later.  I finally gave up and paid the price to get it from newegg.  They won't last long.  Even all the local computer stores are sold out... This is ridiculous. Once everyone puts all these video cards that have recently been ordered to work, the bitcoin is going to have it's first value test.  Thousands of miner/sellers are about to hit the network in the next week...

6950.  Some are close to $200 with rebate.  Also, should hold a superior resale value... 6 months from now when 213123 5830's get dumped on the market nobody is going to want to buy one, but something faster for games might still hold some interest.

yeah 5770s are getting fairly cheap, usually under $100.

It's going to be more and more expensive to build mining rigs until the 7-series is actually released, then you'll be able to grab a bunch of 5-series for cheap hopefully

Plus you can get them single slot, which could be nice for some people.

As we all know, all of 5850 and 5830 are sold out.
What do you think might be the next best GPU?
Excluding all cards that you can't readily buy from major e-tailers.

If you are power conscious... the 5770 is pretty good. 200 mhash for 100W.

If not... probably 6xxx
