Viva Ut Vivas
I told my family about it back when it was $17/BTC. They thought it was interesting and my brother sent me a link to an article about how the government could make Bitcoin illegal. I did my due diligence.

When in Afghanistan I told a few co-workers who had a lot of money to throw into some investments. One bought one from me for $99, the others I showed how to set up CoinBase as it rose over $200 (one co-worker bought at $200, saw it drop to $175 then climb back to $205 and hastily pulled out...before it rose to $1240).

I don't usually tell people to buy, I have more buying to do. But if they're interested about Bitcoin as a currency I explain it to them.

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
I was about to get a restaurant here in Sandwich until one of the patrons opted to try it out first via putting $10K of his newly inherit money in Bitcoin via Bitcoinica thanks to my blessing. Since then, those in town that know me think I'm the dude behind Bitcoin. Seriously! I built Bitcoin with my HTML and CSS skill sets, alone with some Google-fu, the same way that CoinMKT was built by Travis Skweres.

I turned a couple guys onto InstaWallet as I championed them up to the "hack", not sure what they lost, if any. I'm ONLY out 1,132 BTC thanks to davout ceasing all lines of communications with me now that he has my BTC in one of his fat bitcoin wallets. At least those who have moneys in his Bitcoin-Central are safe since it's backed by a bank, namely Lemon Way, whose claim-to-fame is having ONE app under their belt. Look it up, if you happened to read past the OP of this thread.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a hard-on I need to attend to.

As a true believer of bitcoin, I think we are witnessing the birth of a new monetary system. As a conscientious individual, it's my moral duty to let those around me know about one of the best investment opportunity of the century.

5 BTC - A longtime friend
Video game buddy. PC enthusiast. Works in IT. He was messing around with mining Doge, and I convinced him to put a portion of his savings into BTC. This was back in April, a few days after the $350 bottom. His average buy-in was $530, smack dab in the bull-trap. It was only now that he turned a profit.

5 BTC - My aunt
Investor. She was curious about bitcoin back in 2013. All that was needed was a nudge from me in the direction of Coinbase. Buy-in was $460 each. She now thinks I'm a life-changing prophet.

2x 2 BTC - Two of my cousins
College students. Both sons of my investor aunt. They scraped their savings account for this. $500 average buy-in. "Holy crap" just about sums up their reaction as well as mine to the last couple of days.

In my various exchanges with individuals, I've heard the same kinds of excuses over, and over, and over...

"It's too volatile."
"How is it a currency if you can't buy a pack of gum with it?"
"When something increases exponentially like that, it's a bubble."
"It's backed by nothing."

Of the scores of individual in my life that I've tried to convince, only four have actually followed through with it... which puts my estimated conversion success at less than 5%. I consider this a strong sign that we are still the early adopters.

I personally want to own 21 BTC. My average buy-in is $490 and I'm currently a little over halfway there and buying $20 worth every day... though I may never reach that goal as the rocket is taking off now...
