Mail + airdrop + wallet details= scam

Most of these airdrops are scams so newbies should avoid these airdrops. Scammers especially promote fake airdrops on social media.
Well, many of these newbies are thinking that they shouldn't miss any airdrop because it's a free money for them. Unknowingly, they're targeted by these scammers/hackers waiting for them to bite the bait. It's not actually mail but an e-mail. Because mails are paper based and these scammers are sending these scam details through our emails.

Gmail is a street where a lot of fake scam airdrop mail can be found.
Take note that gmail is an email service and it's not only them that provides it. Technically, every email service is prone to these attackers as it's easy as 1-2-3 to send email randomly to anyone as long as you know the email addresses of the receivers regardless of what service or provider they are using.

There are so much risks on joining several airdrops and the benefits to match the risk isn't worth it. Phishing links can be sent in such airdrop emails, airdrops are means scammers uses to entice unsuspecting victims although this is not to say that some airdrops aren't legit, some are legit.

But you can try to limit your risk and get a special email address you only use to join in on airdrops and you make sure to have antivirus, 2FA on your device for additional protection to be secured.

In the early days of altcoin projects it is through airdrops that they spread the news of the coin. Once many people get a few token they tend to focus on that project and this way some could even invest into it. This way the community of the project increases. This was the aim of airdrops during the early days of cryptocurrency but right now this airdrops are strategies by scanners to get into once wallet. Immediately an airdrop demands purchasing gas fee then it is likely a scam. Another is the linking of once wallet directly to the site of the project doing the airdrop.

Many newbies will think they have finally found a source for optional income and they will calculate how much it will amount to base on the promise of the airdrop but at the end it may not drop. Airdrop amounts to nothing, if you calculate what you receive then you know you are not being wise by going through the stress of signing up, giving your data and email. It is funny some require KYC with selfie so you just know when you are required of selfie KYC, it is pure scam. Advise is don't click on unsolicited link sent to your email and another advise is not to link your wallet, you might lose the coins their in.

Scam and scam, and newbies should be aware of the risk involved in connecting their wallets to such platform to receive airdrop rewards and at most times this also have security threats on the airdrop hunter overall security of the device, for instance, I never will use the any device that is connected to my email or other securities to new sites that I do not trust, so I stay away from anything that concern Airdrop most Astros e that require me to connect the wallet to receive them, many of them have stolen hunter money when they make the mistake of connecting their main wallet to register for the airdrops.

Airdrops are means by which scams  take place. Most airdrops received are basically from hackers who accessed people details as a result of their hack. It is not advisable to use your main email for most online crypto stuffs because you never can tell when they will carry out their acts. Most at times, they send malware with airdrop links for their victims to click and fall prey of their act. Once clicked they infiltrates their victims details and use it to take their assets and funds. Aside that, your social media accounts too can be porous because they would definitely send you link to click there and if care is not taken and unknown to you you click them you can be hacked and your account taken over and used for ill act by scammers. So one would need to be very careful how they click links they see in their message box.

Whatever you received in your email like you received an airdrop and you can get it when you import the wallet that is sent in your email which is what you used as an example. The only thing that will happen is you will indeed be able to import the wallet or open the wallet but you cannot sell or transfer the token (airdrop) and if you did sent ETH for example to the wallet then the scammer will transfer it to their wallet right away and the next thing you see is there is no balance left. Anyway, that kind of scheme is already known by most people but thanks for sharing for others to know as there might be someone who doesn't know about this scheme.
