Like a fool. An Ass, for assuming that MagicalTux knew what "cold storage" means (or at the very least would have bothered to monitor it for leaks).

Well I think the best thing to do when things look this bleak is to try and find a little opportunity...

think I might try out this bitcoinbuilder site, as my favourite long shot seems to have given up trading Wink

Hmm, I don't know if this is new or meaningful, but the BitcoinBuilder now says "Butcoin Builder: Trade "MtGox" BTC and "Real" BTC (and back)" at the top of the page:

EDIT: came back from dinner and now the page title has been corrected.

I myself invested $1500 USD for goxBTC, but I took it as a HIGH RISK Asset, So I already knew I might loose it, never in a single moment thought otherwise

I have to troll and make You feel  Roll Eyes

A similar situation was happening with full tilt poker some years back.....
People sold their moneyz locked by doj for very low values (down to cents / $)...
After the release of the founds locked by doj (for EU at least) some didn't even wanna transfer moneyz to people who bought them, when there was no access to their full tilt $.

Hope that at the end everybody'll be happy.

ps. ftp was sold to pokerstars,.... then the moneyz were "released"
ps.
its hard to sell stuff for BTC, because You still see it as fiat money all the time!

How do you feel now?

How does it feel having most of your holdings in MT.Gox?

I didn't, pulled out my last 5k on friday and doubled it.

Can you also predict the future? Please tell us with 100% certainty what is to come of MtGox.

You know whats funny. The people that didn't buy gox, seem more desperate for gox to fail, than the people that did buy feel about them surviving.

Why anyone who doesn't have coins/cash in gox would feel so strongly is a strange thing.

Desperately hoping they didn't miss the chance of a lifetime perhaps Wink

Personally I have bad blood with Gox since the time I ran for the door with my coins last May (and paid a fiat premium for it) because withdrawal issues already back then. I thought they had gone shady and dishonest the least.

I can brag about having said in person to Jon Matonis "I believe MtGox MUST DIE" some time at a meetup last year.

If they return 15% then you break even. It was well worth the risk. I don't think Gox is just going to vanish without paying out at least something.

I think it hinges on whether the 750,000 BTC loss figure is true or false.  As far as I know, the only source for that figure was the leaked "Restructuring Document" of dubious intent.  If the losses are not that bad, and, say, Gox returns 50% of customer deposits, you've still 4X your coins if you purchase GoxBTC at 0.125 BTC.  Obviously if that 750k BTC loss is real, then GoxBTC are probably worth almost zero.

Like sgbett said, "It aint over til its over."

Many people spend a considerable amount of money in their lifetime buying lottery tickets. Also known as stupidity tax.

At 0.1-0.2 per GoxBTC I decided to put a little of my easy-come play money on it. The odds have to be way, way better than a lottery ticket.

It's also a joy to trade these things, swing wise...

My losses are limited to what I deposited. Those who didn't face potentially unlimited failure to gain hehe

I stand by my valuation. MTGoxBTC are worth about 1-3 mBTC per MTGoxBTC
