I suggest avoiding alt-coins altogether. Until you fully understand the bitcoin protocol you will not be in a position to compare coins. Once you do understand, you won't want most alts. Mostly.

Ha, was gonna say this. You should avoid most of them to be honest, but maybe there's a few you could deal with. I'd just do your own research really as people will just recommend you check out the coin they want to pimp out.

What do you mean by "bad designed threads"? Bad designed websites or something else?

Seeing as I am somewhat of a newbie to alt coins I feel the need to seek adive for this.

Are there any specific alt coins I should stay away from completely?
