Of course it's possible we are still on the Bitcoin season and I think the follow up of the altcoins is when the Bitcoin will be on stable state or maybe when the Bitcoin price will crash, we are all hoping for it I already bought some Ethereum.
Altcoin season can only be delayed if Bitcoin still remains bullish, another thing to worry about is bitcoin dominance, I'm guessing things will change before first quarter runs out hopefully, if Bitcoin still have some power left all we have to do is wait, higher bitcoin goes the better for altcoin

As what happened on some major huge marketcap altcoins are being hammered these past few days, just like what happened on Ripple about SEC issue and som privacy coins being delisted on some exchanges.
I am worried about what some people are waiting for a long time, the alt season, where we can see a huge price action or pump for some altcoins, huge marketcap or small.
What's your thoughts on alt season? Do history repeat itself?

I think alt season might be delayed, looking at the current BTC bull run and its trends. And with the news of the delisting of some major coins, it is quite possible that investors might lose faith in alts for a while. This year we might see a different alt trend.
I think alts keep getting hammered by bad news. Ripple had the SEC, Privacy coins have exchange delistings etc. For now I don't think alts will gain on BTC.
Altcoins are very many, not only include Ripple and privacy coins, so not all Altcoins are insulted by people, and when talking about seasons for Altcoins, there are probably still even though you don't think alts will gain on BTC. 
Altcoin season will be possible to happen. But we don't know when it will happen, and we only guess the time in Q1 or the next month in this year. Perhaps Ripple will not get another increase before the developer, and the team can solve the problem. But we still have many other altcoins which can have the possibility to increase. The history may be repeating itself because with the other altcoins that still traded on the exchanges, and it can give the altcoin a chance to increase.
Even after XRP news about SEC haven't you guys noticed that XRP is still surging till now? It's recovering fast people, this is not enough to stop altcoin season from happening even if XRP goes down from here, dominance is high right now, I don't think altcoins can surge while bitcoin dominance is still very high
Nobody can exactly predict whether history repeats or not probably once BTC starts consolidating we can expect a rise in Altcoins. Due to SEC charges against ripple, it is losing its value. For long-term holding, I believe in 2 coins that is BTC and Ethereum only. I am positive about altcoins in the coming days.
Yes, alt season still possible and I hope in this year (2021) we will get it. top rated coin already pumped a lot, when Bitcoin price will be stable, People will invest their money at altcoin. I am holding a few altcoins for the long term. I hope when altcoin will come I will be the gainer. Before making an investment try to do a lot of research. For SEC, XRP coin dumped a lot. so why don't forget to use a stop loss at any coin.
Actually those were bad news both for XRP holders and those privacy coins holders as well, but I noticed that, the news didn't have much effect on the market as some top coins were still in a good position, rather I think the coins getting hammered are other small altcoins. Going back to the question asked, I still think that, there won't be anything like altcoins season until Bitcoin dominance drops, the more it drops the better for many altcoins as it will give them enough opportunity to grow. Furthermore, with Bitcoin trying to cross $30k shows a lot of Investors attention are still on it, thus meaning altcoin season is far from happening but that doesn't go without noticing the growth of top altcoins since this Bitcoin rally started thus making me to have that mindset that, we might not be seeing a huge altcoin season as we keeps anticipating.
Bad news is always there but we do not to be affected to them because we know the capability of the coins that we have and I really believe that this year will become the season for the altcoins last year is the year for the bitcoin but it much better to both bitcoin and altcoins will increase together so we can get more profit this year and I hope when altcoins rise bitcoin will not decrease.
It's a sad reality that there would be no altcoin season. Altcoins have their own value and they are falling and rising on comparison to each other but the market has been much independent from bitcoin's price. Last time, the bull run in bitcoin led to rise in price of alts because all of them were paired to bitcoin but now, stable coin has emerged as the largest pair making the price movement independent for each coin.
Bitcoin still dominance and look little problem for altcoin season during bitcoin have more than 70% dominance in exchange market, I know why investor still choose with bitcoin because last two months bitcoin keep going on to higher price and break close with $30k, still going on dominance for bitcoin I think few months later and waiting when bitcoin have been stable price this time for altcoin season back to higher price again and hope bitcoin never going down drastically.
I am personally still optimistic that there will be an altseason in the near future, because what has happened now reflects past events even with different problems, because as it has been, the greater the pressure to stop bitcoin or altcoin, the greater impetus to rise. , which could be a sign that an altseason is coming.
If Bitcoin performs the same way like it did last month, this month too then I do not think the altcoin season will start.
Few negative news now days does not affect the market. There are other major alts that will dominate when alt season will start.
The current scenario of the market is very different to what it was in 2018 hence, we need to wait some more time for the altseason to start.

Even prior to the SEC lawsuit against XRP, altcoins have been enjoying a sort of mini bull run, specially with the whole Defi that burst out of the scene and took off. The problem with alts though is that still prone to pump and dump scheme so majority of them are still lagging behind. There was even months when they are bleeding while Bitcoin continues to grow.
If there will be alt season, Ethereum will be the one to lead them, although it has seen prices never been touch since 2018, it needs to go and hit and set a new all time high first before other alts follow.

I think everything will be repeated and of course it's not quite what it has happened in the past. Everyone is waiting for the altcoin seasion and last time can see that the market is in an uptrend. I think it's just a matter of time for us to sit down to discuss what we've been through.
why not, altcoin season is still possible. despite yesterday's bad news, all altcoins are still rallying. see the market is still green, this gives more hope. forget the XRP case, and you'll see a much better market. the only barrier at the moment is bitcoin dominance. if my bitcoin dominance drops below 60%, it might be easier.

It just a couple of coins though, we still have a bunch of altcoin in the top 10 can can really move in this bull, at least touching their old all time high will be good enough for me.
Bitcoin is still dominating at this point, so the bull run for altcoins might not happen similar to 2017. But in any case it will still be a good year for altcoin, I'm pretty sure everyone is well aware of what altcoins in the top are really good for investing this year.
