If you're an investor in bitcoin then you don't have to worry about a thing because this is only the start of bullish market these BER months. I think bitcoin's fluctuating price is due to companies investing with a lot of money that, in my observation and opinion, they only want to make profit for a short period of time, then it turns out that they got tired or somethin, it was just a matter of timing and who goes first or something.

the short answer is people are cashing out and we desperately need investors to cover all that sell-off. btc is still the safest place to be in crypto, so a lot of people are moving to btc, and that's why it doesn't drop too much.

This is crypto market for you - there really isn't any logic behind what happens here. BTC goes up -> people sell alts for BTC for some gains. BTC goes down -> alts go down 'cause their value is really tied to BTC. You just have to wait the bull market in this mess.

A lot of altcoins depend on Bitcoin's price. When the bitcoin rate starts to increase, investors' interest to the whole crypto currency market increases and they also begin investing in altcoins.

I think we should be calm and patient.
If someone worries and sells their altcoins off at this moment is a huge mistake.

The bear market does not end once the coin reaches the bottom, it may stay around for even years so $6k might be real bottom but btc can still keep fluctuating there.

The problem is that the price of bitcoin has not yet stabilised, when it starts to go flat then investors will switch to altoins. As bitcoin is going up and down so frequently they are trying to short it and accumulate more.

I don't think altcoins are worth investing because they have large price fluctuations. There is a huge risk, you may lose a lot of money.

Altcoin prices today decreased too much but we are still hoping that someday for the near soon it would rise again like a bull run for sake of my fellow investors who are seeking to have great profits in the future.

Lesson, invest most with bitcoin and not with altcoins.

There has been significant movement with bitcoin market and as you can see, when bitcoin pumps alts are going to pump too.

Investing in altcoins are also a good way to gain profits, there are many altcoin with a promising features and great potential but of course bitcoin will be the best than altcoins. Invest in different coins not just focus in one.
It's also a good way to profit but don't forget that if you don't add bitcoin on your portfolio.

When btc dominates the market which happens usually, your coins are going to suffer like what happened.

Well, the altcoins price still follow the BTC all time long so far. Seen from the coin market, the movement of the altcoin price is still very small. Today, some coins started to be green although actually they don't reach their price as some days ago. They really drop immediately in that fluctuating market.
Besides that I also agree with your opinion that this also bothered me, my portfolio was very sinking because of such a situation. Last year, bitcoin was featured and with it and all crypto currencies and now a very healing picture in the market is taken.
Bitcoin spawns all the coins that fall, the bitcoin drops it all down. Only if bitcoin is stored in altcoin is it flat growing.

Of course it depends on their capital to put an investment. Bitcoin is good for long term investment and altcoins it might be short term or long term, more percentage of investment in bitcoin will be great decision. But you need to split your money in different altcoins not only in one coin like ethereum etc.

So bitcoin just keeps going up and down and still not reaching much lower than 6k but everytime these surges with bitcoin happen alt prices keep taking a dive. Even though it seems like when bitcoin takes a dive alts take a dive when btc raises alts take a dive.

Does anyone know why this keeps happening like this usually once money comes out of btc it goes back into the alts and the price raises again but it does not seem to happen like that now. I have lost a lot more % in alts than if I were to just hold btc.

Yes that is true Bitcoin price as of now was already out of the crash and it climb to almost $8500 then it goes down to $7400,so this movement shows the volatility behavior of Bitcoin but still dominant the cryptocurreny and regarding to Altcoins like Ethereum are still stagnant at lower price since it is not dependent to Bitcoin.

This is a tough question to say with certainty.
If bitcoin goes up alts could go down. And alts can still go down it Bitcoin is down.
Looking forward to the day when market based on really utility and less on speculations.

The price of altcoins at the moment is tending to decrease due to the impact of negative news, especially news from the SEC. This time there was a BTC rate increase, but altcoins fell dramatically. So be calm and continue to hold altcoins until the end of this year. Because the cryptocurrency market will recover soon!

Altcoin does have a significant degree of risk compared with Bitcoin. Altcoin prices are very easily influenced by various things and also when the price of Bitcoin increases automatically, the price of Altcoin will decrease as well. This is a thing that cannot be avoided. For anyone who wants to try investing in Altcoin, they must be able to make decisions well and also determine the right momentum in making decisions.
