There are some coins you can consider.

this is from my personal analysis
Such as IOTA, NEO, WAVES. I invested for it,

there are alternative options, depending on what you believe in which coins.

There has been an explosion of new Altcoins from all over and that serve different purposes.

If i were you I would look into ICOalert and find a project that you personally have an interest in. I would also look for these qualities :-

- Strong team - Both in development team and also the CEO's / marketing (People focus too much on the developers which is important but not everything. no point having a great team to create something, if nobody can advertise it and push the startup in the right direction.)
- Realistic vision - not aiming too high or if they do not reach their target everyone who invested will be disappointed
- Solid whitepaper - Well thought out, shows realistic goals, a strong good vision and a plan of action
- Strong social media presence - A social media that shows they are connected with everyone
- Good customer support - Shows they care, and they have invested time and money into making sure the average investor can ask questions
- Good website - A business who is willing to throw time and effort into a good website are less likely to be a scam
- finite supply - ICO's with no cap can be dangerous and can simply just damage their own coin by releasing more for more investment.
-Market they are getting involved with - Is this a new market? or a dying one? who controls the market?

Finally
- Good concept and catchy name - A good ethos and a name that makes them stand out. Personally i would avoid anything that is something "coin".

Personally i am looking at Crowdholding as it matches all the criteria i listed above and i am interested in their concept of co-creation. Also they are in their pre-sale so you can get a lot more tokens for you money, compared to ICO's.

I agree. Everyone has the different answer. Nobody will give same. Because this is depends on the predictions and their experiences. Therefore, I also like to suggest study yourself about top coins and their behaviors. Then you will understand which will grow faster.

I would invest in the others Platforms. Stratis, Waves, Ark, Neo, NEXT.

Once the platforms get more coins created under them the prices will begin to soar. Lower market cap coins for more risk buy higher % gains.

What do you guys think of EOS as a long term holding? 

at the moment the price of most altcoins is overstated, I would not yet invest in them.

In terms of altcoin, I recommend ethereum because their potential in the market is so high. For me ethereum is the most powerful altcoin however in terms of cryto currency I go to bitcoin because their reputation in the market was so large. Most of the users love bitcoin as digital currency.

waves is the best option if you wanna a quick profit, if it goes towards $10 you would double your money, and that is probably gonna happen in the next months.
or you can do it with cheap coins, just buy those below $1 and if that coin reachs $2, you double ur money too.
But obviously that is better to invest in strong coins, but that process is more slowly.

There are lots of coins on the market, if you want to invest in the short term there are some coins that can be trade and get profit like dashcoin, ark, ptoy it's just some coins that have good market price movements. But if the investment for the long term I still recommend the bitcoin and etherum because I think both coins have a good period and popularity in the next few years.

NEO will grow rapidly like Ether and still cheap, so act quick now!

it is very interesting to see the development of XMR and if it can achieve the predicted would be really profitable especially coupled with a large capital the results will be fantastic

this is my first post so inherently shouldn't be trusted but I like filecoin, OMG, and kybernetwork. The latter two have the Talik as an advisor so it's like having warren buffet backing your stock. FileCoin I think is one of those now rare ICOs that actually solves something "new" and seems useful, plus inherent value in the token. We'll see!

I have high hopes for Nexus. You should look into the conference theyre having and make a decision.

My recommendations for you for investment is IoTA (Internet of Things coin) as it is still below $1 - it is expected to go up many times its present value, who knows! and it currently in 8th on Coinmarketcap.com

I think XMR is quite good atm and can gain more values if more and more better exchanges list it, but its listing on Bithumb was also a remarkable step after which it spiked straight away to $150. Many speculators said that it would see a 100 buck soon and there are still much more predictions related to it like it will reach 300 bucks any time soon. Buying it is not less than an opportunity even if you do it now because it will double your capital in the near future.

I will tell you two projects which will grow dramatically next years. The first one is NEO, Chinese alternative of Ethereum, and the second one is Tezos which is the American alternative of Russian Ethereum. These altcoins will be great within 2-3 yers. For long run, they should be in your buy spot.

I have been looking at Bitshares. You would think it would have a little run soon like the other top coins. 

I'd say Verge for now. It's pretty low and it's all about anonymity. All the anonymity coins are high while this is 80 satoshi? It's a good coin. Monero is private, but not anonymous, it's not using TOR, it's not obfuscating the IP. It's gonna grow.

There are thousands of altcoins already trading on exchanges and several hundreds currently in ICO. Asking here for random suggestion will only give you either careless recommendation or partial one as most of the users are currently promoting some altcoin and will simply satisfy their signature requirement.
Better make your own discovery on individual level. Use sites like CoinMarketCap for reference.
