Many people do not understand what an “altseason” actually is. Similar happened in 2017 when every alt pumped before ETH.

If anything, we are at the start of the altseason.

Despite that some of these few altcoins are pumping in price there are still so many alcoints that are not pumping and even if they pump by 40% of more, they have not breakthrough their previous all time high.

Now it's the turn for BNB, Tron and other smaller caps altcoins, ETH is still sleeping.

What we are seeing here could be the start of that season but it is not yet it. For now the recent pumps of various shitcoins is due to the fact that recently bitcoin went up to a new ATH which breathed a new life into the market.
Yeah most likely, it's like they have a span time to react the Bitcoin market. And after I check the graph, altcoin season happen after Bitcoin season, to be more accurately a year after Bitcoin season.

So, to maximize profit the pattern might be like this:

Hold Bitcoin > When Bitcoin pump, sell Bitcoin > Buy big market caps altcoins that still not rising when Bitcoin pump > After the price pump, sell it > Buy Bitcoin

I'd say Memecoin season Grin
Nope, actually memecoins are currently not perform.

I think we are still early stage of altcoin season, BTC dominance is still high, but at the same time people are euphoric with the fact that all their bag is going green nowadays.
some coin already breaking their ATH, for example ONDO as an RWA coin.

meanwhile the other coin like ETH and so on aren't performing so great but that's to be expected since they are so weak even before the altcoin season.

trends shifting I guess, and people focused on coin that actually have high trading volume. also, there's been influx of large capital towards old coins like XRP, XLM and so on, I expect current altcoin season to be different compared to previous altcoin season.
many people will get sidelined.

I don't think we are in altcoin season as we know it, some altcoins/shitcoins have pumped, but there has not been an altcoin "craze" with plenty of them pumping and setting crazy numbers, that is what is altcoin season as we know it. If you are keen on buying altcoins, you can wait until that time to buy some for yourself, or you can "gamble" with a few of them right now and hope they get pumped when the time is right.
Yes, maybe it's not time to wait for the altcoin season to arrive and it can be the desired hope, by providing many opportunities that you want to achieve, by choosing the right crypto and that becomes an opportunity, to determine the future by buying at a low price and postponing it for a while, that is the right choice to make.

Usually, the collective height of Altcoins is compared to the Bitcoin Index, not compared to USD, and therefore most coins still perform a negative performance except for XRP and some pumping and dumping coins that do not usually follow the price of bitcoin.
Altcoins space is so vast and indeed not all are performing well because not all of their devs has a dedication to the project that they have created. So when comparing, it is important to be specific only to have a better accuracy. Maybe there are still some alts though that had fully recovered and then break its new ATH just like what BTC did last time and then maybe some are literally better than in BTC because they retain it. XRP is still an altcoin even though it is like a fiat due to its solid relation to banks and I think it still follows the movement of BTC sometimes. It was only the pump and dump coins rather are the ones that has their own real world applications.

Perhaps from what I have been reading about altcoin season it doesn't correspond with the current price movement of some altcoins. Altcoins season is usually when all altcoins become very bullish including the pump and dump coins infact generally every coin that is not bitcoin will perform very well within the season so since only a few coins is doing well now that means it's not yet altcoins season may be it's the start of altcoin season.

From above path, the altcoin season start when Ethereum price outperform Bitcoin, while now Ethereum price didn't move, other coins does.
Prolly this is the first part of the altcoin season. While ETH didn't move a lot and the other altcoins in the market have been moving so well and pumping a lot, this won't make us avoid thinking that we're already in the altcoin season.

There are still more fundamentals and news to come for 2025 and that's what we should await for. Too many things to expect but still, we have to control ourselves for stressing too much expectation. It is okay for me if ETH hasn't outperformed BTC or maybe not yet.

More to go for BTC as well as this is the most awaited crypto that shall break the new walls and barriers by 2025 or maybe at the end of this month.

Altcoins are pumping and its euphoria again for altcoins holders. We waited this for a long time and its finally coming up, its time for altcoiners to also profit besides Bitcoin is moving sideways and unless you going to the leverage market you can profit from such market otherwise, chase the token pump for they are yet not done pumping.

XRP been the top rising in a week. even the streamers that doesn't really follow crypto market are now trying to discuss about XRP profit.

The push we have seen in most altcoins even when bitcoin stops pumping will bring a lot of possibilities and discussions up that we may have already started approaching the altcoin season. Bitcoin has lowered down its strength to push upward further for some weeks now and it’s yet to gather momentum to record a new all time high while other altcoins are still rising and recording a new all time high. When money starts flowing out of bitcoin and goes into altcoins, then the altcoin season is now upon us.

But one thing that could be a stumble and will bring a lot of speculations more is bitcoin not reaching $100K soon and altcoin season begins. Will it be that it is possible for altcoin season to come and after that, we’ll see another bull run for bitcoin to record a new all time high? I’m not sure if it happened in the past but could they be a possibility for that if we don’t see bitcoin reaching $100K before altcoin season starts?

We need to wait for the rally for BTC to drop off a bit.
After all, the funds should start to go in another direction for us to see the alts boom.
For now, we can observe BTC and see how it behaves during this cycle to see something that would lead to more clues in the upcoming events.

I’m fine with Bitcoin at its current price because if it stays stagnant, the money usually flows to the altcoin market instead. We’re already seeing some altcoins turning profitable, which might be an early sign of an altcoin season brewing. Being ahead of the curve could mean better profits if the market does shift in that direction. But to answer the question, I still don’t think it’s officially altcoin season yet - BTC dominance is still above 50%, which is why altcoins could not break out yet.

Bitcoin's dominance is still over 50%, quite a bit higher than when I last saw an altcoin season in January 2018, where Bitcoin's dominance dropped to its lowest at 33.82%. You can check the historical data here: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1269669/bitcoin-dominance-historical-development/

So, it seems we're still a way off from another altcoin season. Despite some signs, with Bitcoin's dominance rate above 50%, it indicates that investment hasn't significantly shifted from Bitcoin to altcoins yet.

Personaly IMO we are still just scratching the surface of what we may see in the coming few months.
Unfortunately the global situation is so dynamic that we can easily be at the top even right now, just not realizing it yet.
I really hope that this is not the case and with a potential rise of Bitcoin we may also see big rise in most of the major alts too, likely a month or two later.

When there would be a flow of funds out of BTC and into big fundamental alts - then maybe we can talk about the proper alt season.
Beforehand - nah.

I don't believe that just because Bitcoin dominance has decreased, it’s directly related to an altcoin season. It seems like something that has happened before, but in the end, it always ends up being just pump and dump. The market movement is isolated and not a coordinated season, so it’s unlikely that this is an actual altcoin season, especially with ETH's price still stagnant. I would be more inclined to think that this is just a temporary rise or simply a hot streak for some altcoins.
Yes, what happened to Bitcoin is just a healthy correction and institutional interest in Bitcoin is still going on and they are just waiting for the right time to act and I think Bitcoin will hit $100,000 which can extend Bitcoin’s dominance which will delay the altcoin season. Right now, only a few altcoins have managed to outperform Bitcoin and Ethereum is also not moving and is just stagnant which shows that the altcoin season is not here yet and there might be signs of it which I think might happen next year. And if the number of altcoins keeps increasing, we will see a clearer signal of the shift in market dominance to altcoins and for now the signal is not clear.
