The price of altcoins is rising after the ETF is approved so it looks like the altcoin season is about to start soon. A certain altcoin is the best for investment and also has a good long-term potential. Although my selection may differ from everyone else's, 2022 has been a challenging year for the crypto space, which has caused most coins to fall in price. The new year brings hope that the crypto market can overcome losses.

These are uncertain times and maybe alt season might start if Ethereum ETF gets approved. Bitcoin is the only crypto that has been performing way better than altcoins for now. It will continue to go in the upward direction if the demand through ETF doesn't fade away. The current market is being pumped due to speculation and ETF.
Heavy on the if ethereum etf gets approved. While I think that it can definitely influence the price of ethereum and a lot of other altcoins, I don’t think it can kickstart an altcoin season. People think that whatever altcoin they invest in would pump after the halving and bitcoin etc but it didn’t. So it might just happen again but with ethereum.

Yes it is true that most experts observe for altcoins to pump like crazy usually after a bitcoin halving or a bull run. This usually happens because people are taking profit and looking to see where else can they put their money outside bitcoin. Though I don’t think they will be necessarily “outperforming” bitcoin any time soon.

Even though there’s a high chance this might happen, still be careful with the altcoins you’re going to invest in.

Don't be quick to forget that Ethereum is also an altcoin. So, when referring to altcoin season; ETH is also included. By the way, I don't understand what you actually meant by ETH outperforming Bitcoin when we know that Bitcoin dominance of the market is still above 51% while ETH has 16%. There's still a huge gap.

Maybe what is meant is the growth rate of Ethereum which has performed better than Bitcoin this week. As far as I remember Bitcoin rose 11-12% in the last week where Ethereum rose around 20%. It is impossible for anyone to say that Ethereum outperforms Bitcoin in terms of market cap because we know that Bitcoin's market dominance is very large. As you said, about 51%.

I don't know why people focus in on "altcoin season".  It's simple.  Once bitcoin takes off so does altcoins.  Once bitcoin tanks so does altcoins.  Trying to track past history on alts is fruitless, just do TA on bitcoin copy/paste in alts and there you have it.  Bitcoin runs the market, alts follow.
I feel that what is triggering the altcoin season this time is not the increase in Bitcoin prices, but there is the possibility of influence from the Ethereum ETF which may be launched soon so that it can trigger whales to increase the price of altcoins on exchanges. We can see some time ago when the Ethereum ETF proposal was given again to the SEC for review. When that happened the price of Ethereum rose by 20%. Then if the SEC accepts the Ethereum ETF proposal without any revisions, it will make altcoin prices soar higher than we imagined.

There are some points here.

1. The last halving of bitcoin took place at 2020. The bullish trend was happening around early 2021

It means that if altcoins may not be having bullish trend until bitcoin will always keep climbing up even higher than before.

2. The chart is not even showing altcoins to eat bitcoin's dominance.

The recent increase that happens on ethereum helped altcoins a lot to regain its dominance but this is not giving a good impact to the whole altcoins.

Ethereum was the only coin that was surging a lot. Meanwhile, the majority of altcoins are still stuck in the same place. This tells us that if there was no movement came from altcoins. We shall wait it even longer than what we are thinking.

It's caused by im not seeing a significant move is happening with altcoins at this moment.

I think it is very difficult to determine when the bull run season will come, but if you look at the graphs and market statistics, it is very likely that the altcoin season will arrive soon, especially now that many altcoins are already green, of course this is an early sign that altcoins will soon increase, of course This is the right time to start buying and investing altcoins,

This will be my first bull run experience in the crypto space, but from my research of other bull runs, Bitcoin bull seasons precedes altcoins bull seasons, and if that speculation is anything to rely on, that means that altcoins season cannot be next month. We're still recovering from post halving Bitcoin price dip, and not quite into it's bull run, and I think that investors are still accumulating Bitcoin, in expectant of making ROI, that is when I believe that they will want to reinvest profit into altcoins, that will make them to be bullish. Atleast this is the theory that I've been able to put together, before alt season will starts.

I don't think the graphs are followed properly. Bitcoin had its all time high two months ago and it again neared the price a couple of days ago. The price of bitcoin is still sustaining above 70K, that may mean, we are going to see a new all time high very soon. Many other coins too had their all time high touched in last day while a lot of older coins are still to hit their all time high that was a few years ago. I just mean there's no concrete boundary dividing bitcoin, Ethereum or altcoins. Unlike last bull, not all coins are increasing when most of the market is in bull. That signifies, there are more choices and not every coin would fit the generalization of altcoin.

I don't think the graph is still relevant, in 2017 most projects are ERC-20 tokens, that's why the money flowing in ETH since the project need to have gas fees. But nowadays, most people don't like ERC-20 tokens anymore due to high fees, it moved to BSC and now it moved to SOL.

I don't understand what you actually meant by ETH outperforming Bitcoin when we know that Bitcoin dominance of the market is still above 51% while ETH has 16%. There's still a huge gap.
I think he meant if ETH price increased higher than Bitcoin price in terms of percentage, ETH outperform BTC. Cheesy

But it's only outperform in that time.

That's only his opinion based on analysis, I don't see it in reality of Bitcoin market right now. The huge difference of eth and btc price is hard to break, if there's a probability of altcoin season for next coming months then we will wait and see. Predictions is hard to foresee, performance of altcoins is still getting more interesting for most holders and with positivity I think everything will follow in perfect timing.

If you see the graphics above is insightful and contains fact in this market, Bitcoin and Ethereum already shown their roles and next months will be for an altcoin season.

Bitcoin eventually stopped it boring and uncertain time after about more than 10 weeks of correction. Now it starts to rise sharply and will retest its all time high again.

Ethereum has a big pump today too.

If you see the graphics above is insightful and contains fact in this market, Bitcoin and Ethereum already shown their roles and next months will be for an altcoin season.

It's not an altcoin season yet but you can buy altcoins now and wait for altcoin season.
