No, it's just a matter of market capitalization, you can see on the chart of bitcoin dominance, when the market cap of bitcoin goes down it indirectly moves the market cap in altcoins, and this is the only way that altcoins can go to the moon.
And what do you mean $9? bitcoin price is now $49k.

Slowly few altcoins in the market has been taking positive note on growth. We can see good level of growth happening with the leading altcoins of the market. Initially ethereum has taken good chance of its growth, and has been moving on the right track. Second is the XRP, recovering from the huge crash after delisting. Next BNB pumps high in the short, and now bitcoin cash has taken forward progress. Hope this helps the altcoin hodlers of the market.

We are now having the alt season where all the top rank and even shitcoins are pumping very high going to the moon. It very pleasing to see several people who is earning a very huge amount of profit from the alts they hodl long termly, they were all paid off on what they waited for a very long run. We are in the year 2021 and yet altcoin has not moved in the way a lot of people would expect it especially in relation to how much bitcoin and moved and this can be because of a lot reasons but the biggest reason I believe is because of the dominance of Bitcoin and also the presence of a lot of scam altcoins which are shitcoins and nobody wants to be holding a bag of shitcoins so if I want to invest it is still going to be in Bitcoin.

I will HODL 3 altcoins who have a great team and a solid growth potential based on real use cases:

1: NPXS: Wants to make crypto available for everybody looks like a coin that could go to the moon. They already have pay terminals all over the world and I think that this could become a TOP 100 coin.
2: MDT: Wants users to get paid when there data is used. In current times data is the most valuable asset so this has a lot of potential
3: XEM: Is already well known but I believe in the project.

Please make sure to always read up about what you invest in. Make sure there is a team behind the token and make sure you believe in the project.
Not everybody will make a lot of money buying and selling altcoins. In fact most people will lose unless greed get's grip of the market again. do note that than the value is a bubble for most of the altcoins (outside of the top 100) with a few exceptions.

Picking those exceptions is onmly possible when you know the project and are a bit lucky.
