There are already blockchain projects that targets the gaming industry already like The Abyss Platform, which I think has a very good proposal to earn the platforms token for gamers and game developers. The only problem here is that will it be supported by gamers them selves, as established mainstream platforms like Steam is very hard to beat as they have a wide variety of games that appeal many gamers.

Well, we are all aware that altcoin is commonly used in financial things and investment and other things but is it possible to use altcoin in gaming? Will it affect the game itself? what do you say? Will be a positive or negative effect? or is it even allowed for crypto currencies to go in Online games? i would like to know your opinions about this.
Yes it is, there is a coin that has used in gaming platform. Playkey, Nexium and many more. They are all can be used in the gaming platfrom. The crypto payment will give the easy payment gateway.
it will be a positive impact in my opinion. Nexium platform has already listed on the team and you cna try to see that.

There are plenty of gaming-related coins on the market. For instance, Asura Coin (https://asuracoin.io) is made specifically for eSports. That will include eSports betting, match making and streams.

Even before the cryptocurrencies became a trend most online gaming sites were already using a token, they have developed their own token but is intended for their site only where people can sell to co-player, purchase items especially weapons for their character. I remember way back few years ago I earned a lot of tokens from an online game site which able players to withdraw those token into Paypal dollars, the difference compared to crypto token is that crypto is DECENTRALIZED while those gaming tokens.

I highly believed it has a positive effect, huge change and people will adopt and love crypto in gaming sites, there are lots of ICO projects dealing with gaming sites just like Pokersports who just recently ended and already distributed their tokens rewards from bounty.

I doubt there are any worthy games accepting altcoins. There were talks about that in already in 2014, I remember Quark coin claiming to be listed as a payment method in “Shaq Fu: The Legend Reborn” for in-game purchases (Shaquille O'Neal is not a stranger for loads of people in the world). This did not impact the price of Quarks at all. Actually I do not see any point in implementing cryptocurrencies other than BTC or ETH, the user base is still very small.

has been a long time since altcoin got into the gaming industry and it is not surprising that there is a new altcoin that will bring online games as exchange materials ,a positive effect that can boost demand

There are actually a ton of unheard of cryptos that are targeting video games. Some such as Nox are trying to help crowdfund for games to be developed. Others are aiming to become a cross-game currency, and some are trying to become actual digital items within games that can be transferred across games. Those are just some examples of what I know are out there.

Unfortunately, and in my opinion, these are not really great uses for cryptocurrencies, since using good ol' fiat is just so much easier for these uses. Every video game currency quotes that video games has a gigantic market and if they tap into even 1% of it that every coin holder will become rich, but in reality most of these coins are going to fail, because really how many currencies do you need for video games, and I assume most of these coins will be ignored by 'whales' and 'wallstreet money'.

They are neat ideas, and I hope to be proven wrong, but I just feel these are kind of just cryptocurrencies for the sake of being a crypto, instead of adding anything really useful to this area.

I think it is a great idea, but it will be hard to realize it. Someone will have to come up with truly revolutionary platform. We have seen what is going on with Refereum. what I would like to see? Well, I played a lot of MMOs over the past years and it would be nice to see that you could buy cosmetics with crypto perhaps. There could be a marketplace embedded in the game as well as auction house where those who are putting their time into the game, would sell items to those who don't have time, but have money. It is easy as that and it just mihgt work. Diablo III tried that with their real money auction house, but failed. Crypto could solve those issues that the game had.

Already there are projects that develop games with their own cryptocurrency economy, one such, for example Forever Has Fallen. I think that the tokenization of the gaming industry will actively develop

I thought they're using this already and it's pretty sure that it gives positive impact to cryptocurrency, since this is also a place for marketing, so it helps a lot to all coins to grow up and pushing the market into green, if there is an ICO wants to develop this thought as project, I think it will be supported by everybody .

Tokens as such are always been used in online gaming. Whether they be chips like in casino or coins, points, score, life, health, strength and other factors.
Now with blockchain we can make them independent of the original game and make them cross platform/cross product supported.
There are games that support direct deposit of popular cryptocoins while some require you to covert them first to specific token.
