In terms of forks and hybrid PoW / PoS systems, Emercoin has much to offer and focuses on blockchain innovation of services for the public opposed to hype within the cryptocurrency circles. We just formed a partnership with Microsoft to bring Emercoin to Azure cloud users across the World. Anyone have a list of altcoins based on the latest bitcoin core? Hybrid PoS / PoW if possible.

Thanks

None since BTC does not have PoS
If you are looking for popular forks, this would be in the NovaCoin direction, including derivates

Ok yes that makes sense. I thought some forks would come from the latest bitcoin core with PoS functions coded in but i guess this is not the case. I suppose my next question would be which altcoins have a "better" codebase with regular updates that dont deviate too much outside of standard funtions (darksend etc.)
