Now the prices for alts are quite good and not disappointing at all, I personally see the prospects for growth of alts this year.
You should diversify. Choose alts that are good to hodl for long term and select coins that are good for trading. Invest on new potential projects. Even though the crypto market is unstable, there are still a few good projects out there that are really worth investing.

I can't really see the difference honestly, as I feel that all the coins have a lot in common despite the fact that there are those who can keep moving upwards increase happens differently but it still looks the same. Bitcoin's price dropped and then recovered, and then retained its value in the range for quite a long time, but the coins below also faced the same thing where no one was able to move individually without bitcoin pumping. And nothing is so far disappointing because the bitcoin is pumping again and alts seem to be following.
Market is recovering strongly in January and today all altcoins are rising very high. I think altcoin season can come back earlier than expected and certainly if this trend can be sustained in the coming time, people will have more confidence when choosing to invest. Personally, I only hold a few coins in the top 50 and my profits today have increased by more than 50% in just one day.

Now is not the highest price for alts, but it is certainly not a reason to be sad, because now there is a great opportunity to invest in very promising coins, which are now very cheap, and after a while you can sell many times more expensive.
Can you do that? Most altcoins are not giving any signal they will go up in the future, they are just reacting to the way bitcoin moves and as long as that is true then they are never going to move in a faster way than bitcoin, all of those that support altcoins should realize the truth the days in which altcoins could give you easy and incredible profits seem to be over and you need to be very careful when you invest in them or you will lose your money when you invest in them.
The alts I'm holding are going quiet well these past few days. Some prices has started to rise up to 25% and I'm hoping value will continue to recover slowly. I've been holding some alts for over a year now and I'm hoping I can sell then at reasonable prices.
Since you had the patience to hold the coin for this long i really hope that you will be able to wait for a couple of years so that the expected alt coins rally will come and everyone will have the opportunity to sell off their coins at a profit and everyone who is in the market for the past few years will be holding a decent amount of coins in their wallet and i hope it will happen in the top coins in the wallet.The alts I'm holding are going quiet well these past few days.
