I think it's true, just those who are strong enough survive in bear market. we shouldn't complain but instead observe and make conclusions.

So many projects or coins are dying or become shitcoins because of the bear market and only coins with real potential in the market has a chance to make it through the bull run.
Do you think the bear market is a good way to purge coins that are not worthy to be in the market, I believe the bear market is a good parameter to see if the market has a good potential.
We are talking of purging, this bear purging will only save future investors, but what about investors that has already committed their money right from the very first day those project launched their ICO by luring them with big rewards, if the bear market succeeded in killing those projects that are not strong, how will those investors get their money out?

I am not in support of those bad and useless projects, but I want the altcoin season to actually take charge so that those coins that are even bad can come back to live and then return the money of most investors and bounty lol. We need regulation to do this work of purging bad projects out of the market not bear, because bear market will not only affect the bad ones but also affect the good project which could be tiring.

All of the shitty projects closed their doors in the past two years when the entire market went down and some were looking for a chance to walk out free citing issue with funds and not get a scammer tag and with the market situation majority of the projects that raised insane amount of money shut their doors without any projects and what they did with the money collected is not transparent either. Bear market is not a parameter but still shit coins will end up in the coffin one day or the other.

In other words, this whole issue about the bubble we experienced and yeah we're trying to recover from it still. Altcoins are also trying to get their names higher above BTC but that hasn't been achievable yet. Even though nany have died, the bear market moreover thought all of us the best way to invest.

Well, bear market might be a means through which coins can be checkmated, but there are still some coins that were able to make it through the bear market and tet do not have real products. Some of them are still actively being traded. While some who claim to have products only stopped at MVP. although, the bottom line remains that, they will still die in a short term.

In a sense you maybe right, this prolong bear market has pushes lots of worthless coins to instantly die, it's like survival of the fittest, if they can't adapt on the environment as hostile as what we have seen in more than a year, then shitcoins will simply die. And those who are going to survive will still encounter a lot of test, but I'm sure when the bull run happens, those coins will thrive again in this market. So yeah, we need this kind of purging. However, as the process is cyclical, we might see shitcoins popping up like mushrooms again during a bull run.

Actually, bear market helps to show which project team is resilient and also team without devotion. Any project that dies because of bear market probably do n9t have a team with experience, devotion and capability to accomplish the project vision. Most will blame it on the bear market and let the project die, while a good team will continue with project development even if the price of the coin is at dip since its not always about price. Other factors like can help boost price in the long run.

The market is strangling and taking large fund from projects with no value for use case and tokenomics to drive volume. The shitcoin and their team are too cunny to even flood the market to get some more bitcoin before their delisting is or will be welcomed by all other exchanges. traders, exchanges and holders are under the burden of holding such coin in their wallet

Yes I believe you, the bear market has really exposed many projects as well as teams, it has made us understand that many of these projects are just worthless with no future while their team are only there to take profit while being clueless on what to do or how to run the platform. On the other hand, few projects which knew their goals and objectives are striving gradually while maintaining constant platform improvements. So from the nature of the market now, it is evident only few projects will survive long term while many are certainly pump and dump coins thus will die off soon.

I think so, it has eliminated a lot of altcoins and tokens that doesn't really see the potential of the market. And the developers who have been working hard with their projects shall stay because they are focusing and dedicated to what they have started.
Unlike those projects that are made for fun but still managed to collect a good amount of market cap has started to decrease, I hope soon that most of those altcoins that doesn't really have the potential shall be gone.

Uhhm, I thought the bear market was left behind months ago?

Anyways, about the "atlcoin purge". Yeah, the bear market does help to clean up the crypto space by getting rid of the shitcoins/scamcoins/vapoware projects that bring nothing new to the market other than pollution. However, the crypto market has proved to be an extremely profitable market even to those who don't put too much effort into their projects. What i mean is that there will always be a replacement to the last shitcoin that was purged from the crypto space.

Fortunately, newcomers and the like do not care that much about new alts coming out...Sure, they care about making quick money (typical misconception about the market), but this isn't 2017 when everyone wanted to "invest" in new alts because of the short-term profits that alts used to bring thanks to the bull market. I feel like the market has matured a lot, I don't think we'll see the same behaviour during the next bull run.

To some extent i will say you are right,  many altcoin died as a result  of the bear market.  Bear market is like a litmus test for those crypto project that do not have a viable and concrete value to add to the crypto ecosystem. This should serve as lesson for new project to awlays try and deliver project that has real usecase and not just whitepaper theories

It did happen and whichever coin survives this bear I guess will live long. There are coins which the value is worth less than a cent which previously was worth more than $0.10, the token still is well traded and has millions of volume in the exchange. Not dead still. Even when a coin doesn't have updates nor usecase but just characteristics like can send faster in seconds, traders find it worth trading and shall live.

I do not think that it is the bear market that make a coin to die or become shitcoins.  If a coin die or become a shitcoin during the bear market then it is really a shitcoin since the  beginning.  We all know that a coin with a good foundation, promising goals and potential will always survive even the hardest situation.  They may devalue,  but eventually they will bounce back.  Or cryptocurrency that were on a high value before probably were overpriced and eventually slowly goes down to its actual present value.  And indeed bear market is probably a good parameter but there is always an exemption, it is the situation where the market is highly manipulated by the project developer and whale investors.

The bear market is just that - a bear market. Nothing to do with the underlying coin or asset. The bear market is the reaction to the parabolic price growth which is the result of the stampeding rush of speculators. Once the last buyer has already bought, the selling begins and it snowballs into a trend reversal and doesn't stop until most has left the markets.

A coin's merits stands on own, regardless of price, because price is only what people think the value of the coin is.

It has a ripple effect and also affects alternative currencies which have a good project.
The bull run invited in lots of scams and devs looking for quick profits, and this drove lots of potential investors away from ICOs and altcoins, this makes it difficult for new projects to raise funds and build on projects, as the crowd of potential investors have thinned considerably.

But to your question, yes poorly executed projects would fail to survive a bear market, and only already existing projects which an actual use case and relevance would.

For comparing the real market value of the any coin we should have enough data for this comparison. The real value is inmeasurable and the tools for this comaprions are limited to the high-tech profile traders. The bear market thought us the good lessoons which we can't examine during the bull market. The advantages of the bear market are not only limited to the value comparisons and there are better things that we can take as an example. The disadvantages of the downtrend can be a real threat against healthy market growth.

Thank you for this information, but this is not the first topic about Ethereum 2.0 in which they talk about the positive aspects of Ethereum 2.0. Why is no one talking about problems and risks? I think this is unfair, although I really like Ethereum.

In my opinion, bad projects die even during a bull market, such projects do not need a bear market to die. However, the bear trend helps to clear the market of a huge number of trash projects and their coins.

Only the strong will survive is the anthem of crypto in this 2019 for altcoin projects, if any project is not strong enough they will quickly meet their end in no time, this is the best time to do research on projects and build altcoin portfolio
