You can pay attention to the current cryptocurrency market. As the difficulty of Bitcoin increases, it is leading most altcoins to rise.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
the bear market is still attached to Altcoin but that's it will not have a bad impact on Bitcoin because the that is controlling prices on the market is Bitcoin.
I think you are confusing between cause and effect. The bear market is not dependent on any coin specifically. It is dependent on the market psychology of whether people want to pull out of crypto and pump into it. While it might be true that certain stances taken by different countries and organizations have made things bitter for the market there is still investors holding on to their coins.

just the opposite if Bitcoin is in the bear market then Altcoin will also suffer, I think Altcoin is currently still dependending on the price of Bitcoin and I don't know when Altcoin can have its own dump and pump.
That is a popular argument. But altcoins as you all understand by now are not having anything new to give to the community than what bitcoin has. Every new altcoin is a money making method for its devs and not the investors. They dump it and move on. So be cautious what you invest in.

Guys like you just have no idea of what exactly is going on in crypto huh. ou don't know when Altcoins can have their own pumps and dumps? Open up any charts that have metrics all the way until 2012. Yes, they generally follow Bitcoin, but trust me. They all have their own pumps and dumps in between. That's what you get with alts. Power in the hands of a few.

Could Bitcoin Return to a Bear Market, Or Is This Just a Correction???

The market is more likely in sideaway, this situation is hard to predict and probably it's correction too. I'm sure it will not longer, correction can be a week or month depends on market situation, so holding is the best decision.

This thread should move to altcoin discussion section.

To many people said it's provably a correction but actually it's really hard to tell that really thing happens by now since market is much quite compare on last week or maybe last month maybe the orders are stable that's why we can see it the same with the price. And I think we can see the real picture next year.

for now i'm sure it is a correction because in reality the price does not continue to fall lower, there is still resistance there which makes the price recover temporarily even though in the end the percentage decline is greater than a short recovery

The general cryptocurrency market is on a bearish trend. Bitcoin is trading below $7,000 and most altcoin are trading far below expectations. I'm personally worried about this development, because precedence had it that the bull run comes towards the end of the year and this year seems to be ending without no sign of bull run.

Bitcoin is doing fine not altcoins, if you invested in bitcoin early this year you are already in big profits and altcoins fails to deliver good profits just like bitcoin did, i think bears only attack altcoins this year not bitcoin

In general bitcoin is not in bear market anymore, just compare the price this year from its low to the current price,.. of course that's 100% increase and that's a great price which makes investors profitable for this year, though it's not that much.

About altcoins, I think they are still in bear market although some have really step up this year like BNB but majority are already dying.

Many institutions and investors are optimistic about the value of BTC. Most of them invest in holding BTC for a long time. Although the prices fluctuate, the overall price is rising.

If altcoins are in a bearish mode it only says that  some traders selling thier altcoins and.putting it to bitcoin , because they know bitcoin will have its bull run the next month.

Maybe it's not happening in the next month because no one will know the exact time for bitcoin to have bull run. The bull runs itself still hiding and don't show the present. But we could have small happiness to see the price is higher than $9k and soon, the price will reach a higher rate. But bitcoin itself is now facing the downtrend, and it's an impact to the price which we see the price now is at $95xx on some exchanges. We can hope that in the next week the price can back to the higher rate.

The recovery of the market especially bitcoin is not easy as what they think in which it takes too much time to wait. Many of us predict that the market will pump tremendously but on my own perspective it will not definitely increase suddenly as many crypto enthusiasts aware and clever enough to do such things like investing and trading process.

Judging from the current situation, the new year will usher in a few days, and the cryptocurrency market is still in a doldrums.

sometimes things aren't really that complicated as you think they are. you are just making them more complicated.

all you had to do was to take a look at prices.
on one hand we have bitcoin that was falling most of 2018 and this year it reached the bottom and for the past 9 months it has bee reversing and going up.
in short bitcoin has gone up 250% in the past 9 months
on the other hand we have altcoins that were falling all of 2018 and when we entered this year they slowed down but still continued going down.
in short in the past 9 months when bitcoin was rising altcoins dropped more than 50% and that is on top of what they had already lost.

now you tell me which one is bear market and which one is bull? and remember just because bitcoin rise has slowed down it doesn't mean it has changed trend!
You cant really avoid these kind of people who do keep telling about predicting prices and do tell that we are on a bear market without even realizing
or trying to check out the chats before making any conclusions about it but instead they do proclaim on what they are currently seeing.
For those people who have been here for how many years wont really be that shocked when it comes to price movement yet this market is always been a bumpy road to take on.

if they arent , whats the purpose of calling them alternative coins ?
Just a fancy name that the devs who wanted to make it popular came up with and then gained a following because nobody is willing to question them. Roll Eyes

thier name actually says it , not all alts can be called sh8tcoins  .
They all are.

btc is sometimes clogged up and expensive for sending but thank god there are alts that we can use .
Because you can use fiat much faster than bitcoin does not mean it is better does it?

@op alts are not the only one that is on the bear state but bitcoin was also a part of it  .  bitcoin and altcoins can rise and can return to a bear state and bear  state can also be called or reffered to as a correction afaik

Altcoins are never meant to be "alternative to bitcoin". They are inherently shitcoins created by by devs who are jealous of bitcoin's acceptance and they wish to market their own version of coins to the public because they have vision that supports it. Every other shitcoin you wish will be having this feature. But whats funny is that after a few years of release the devs themselves abandon the project.

Since we have no physical evidence about who the dev was - it was intentional scam, the dev can now operate in a new persona to create another shitcoin. This cycle continues and the scammers money from it selling away their shitcoin share when it goes up and hten abandon it leaving a group of shills talking to themselves. No wonder the altcoin market is having a bad time.

August has been a determiners to what happened in November and December. If bitcoin closed below $9500 before the close of the weekly or monthly candlestick today then we should expect bearish markets for next month and subsequent months.
We have too many altcoins and as such it will be very difficult for some of them to recover from the last year bearish trend. It is not because there are shitcoin but because we have many of them that are doing the samething bitcoin is doing.
