Most of the coin will not survive in the long run. Soon, cryptocurrencies will be widely accepted and only those will survive in the market which has potential and innovative usable product. Agreed with you about Litecoin, also, I believe ETH will survive cause there is some good use of ETH and also, Vitalik will develop it more.

ETH is the long-held coin that, because it's based on smart contracts, is the ideal choice for the crypto world.

There are still many good counterfeits out there, some of which are well managed, but if I still believe ethereum is the best.

Yes. Ethereum will always be the leader in smart contracts, due to its committed development and community towards making it robust, and secure as possible. While there have been many copycats in the market lately, none had been able to gather the level of adoption and popularity as Ethereum. For such reason, I believe that Ethereum will survive in the future despite the many FUD that has been surrounding it over the past days. Many people are disappointed with Ethereum, due to its high fees and slow transaction throughput. However, once Ethereum scales by adopting the Plasma Framework and switching to Casper PoS, then it should grow bigger and stronger than ever.

Of course, many of its competitors have quite an advantage when it comes to scalability, but none are as highly used as Ethereum is. Things aside, other altcoins that might survive in the future, would be those that have proven use cases in the mainstream world and are actively developed every step of the way. Altcoins such as NEM, Cardano, Ark, Zcash, Monero, and even Litecoin will survive in the future because they meet the said requirements. All other cryptocurrencies which are based on hype but are unable to provide usability or innovation to the mainstream world, will simply die in the end, as people seek the next big thing in crypto land. Just my thoughts Grin

In my opinion only TOP altcoins will survive in future, because almost 95 percent of existing alts are shitcoins which have no future.

In order to altcoin to survive in the future, it must focus on solving a problem but that is not enough, along with a wide possible network and potential application this problem should not be completely resolved by the mainstream cryptocurrencies, these include Ripple, iOTA, NEM and Siacoin.

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin

With each passing day more and more alternative currencies appear on the market. Many of them are backed by very high-quality and promising projects. Of course, most of the altcoins will die. I think that it is necessary to invest in projects that develop technology of blockchain.

Investors has concerns about cryptocurrencies today just because of huge rate turbulences. Maybe alt coins with solid backing in some form of real value, for example storage clouds with value in form of computational power and disc space would be a solution.

A new implementation of Ethereum named "Casper" based on proof of stake rather than proof of work is expected to reduce the inflation rate to between 0.5% to 2%. But I still believe ethereum will survive in the future.

As long as bitcoin persists and still exists, I think all Altcoin can survive and stay there, even if some of the value of Altcoins is very low. Everything will depend on market conditions and how those conditions generate incentives to use these cryptocurrencies.

Of course many altcoins can survive for a long time, and I recommend investing in top 20 coins or tokens because I'm sure the future will continue to improve and its value will continue to increase.

RedCab is a good coin, it has the prospects. The coin, Neironix, also in my opinion, there are prospects. These coins are now held by bounty companies. The Red Cab company, You can find here on bitcointalk. And the company Neironix held exclusively bounty platform drop the bomb ( https://ico.dropthebomb.io/invite/Dima ).

I think the ETH, NEO, WanChain, Elastos, Icon, Zilliqua, Cardano, Ontology could survive in this battle. May be not all from them, but they have a good chances. When 95% alts will die they could be in top 10 of 100 alts

It can be assumed that many crypto-currencies will survive-Litecoin, which guarantees speed and cheap cost; Ethereum, as a reliable guarantor of any transactions; Iota, thanks to the simplicity of transactions, etc.

As long as there is interest from people in the real world to develop and use decentralized applications, the Ethereum platform will survive for quite some time. I've seen many ICOs, and decentralized applications brought by prominent startups and companies to the Ethereum blockchain. This is good, because it helps the cryptocurrency gain widespread mass adoption by average people. Grin Grin

For me their is just a single and that is ethereum, perceive how ethereum quickly develops now and again, and look how ethereum is utilized in numerous nations, ethereum now exceptionally costly that not every person can bear the cost of it.And for a few reasons their is additionally some old however great altcoins can likewise survive on the grounds that lf the market cost simply like namecoins, litecoins, dogecoins and the sky is the limit from there.

It depends on the coin. When we move to the adoption phase, coins with real use cases and good marketing will get more exposure and will gradually recover.

Also new coins with these attributes will be successful. The market is very young and there are many teams working on great stuff regarding blockchain.
