Why are the coins so expensive today? Can I go back in time and get them cheaper?

Not all coins are expensive.  There are hundreds to choose from and many new ones are being offered every week.

You just have do some work to find good ones that have potential.

Not too late. Now its is good that its realized. The price is so big as you know. It would be clever thing to earn more bitcoins instead of spending more dollars on buying it.

You are not late to the party. Crypto currencies have come to stay. I understand your frustrations but its now or never. You might not make much profit like you would have done had it been you invested  when you first heard of it. Many people were skeptical about the faith of cryto currencies then .Do not cry over split milk . Go ahead and invest but remember invest what you can afford to lose. There are a lot of scams now.

we are never too late if we can make our first step in crypto currency because if we are only search the info without doing something then its useless. we can not make anything for this and it is better to us to not getting involve in crypto currency at all. we are only waste our time for something that we don't want to start. but if you can make your first start by buying bitcoin or you start to earn with the free way so you can earn your first satoshi then you are in the right way and you should continue to earn more satoshi.

I feel so late to the party. Coins now are very expensive, like $5800 for Bitcoin and $345 for Ethereum... then $5 - $30 for other coins. I take a look at the blockchain explorers and see big holders of coins, for example some people have 1000+ bitcoin, a lot of people have 500,000+ ethereum. These people got the coins when they were 1 penny each, now I have to pay $500 for the same coin?

Why are the coins so expensive today? Can I go back in time and get them cheaper?

Even if I put in a lot of my money, I only get a fraction of what people were able to get 1 year ago. 1 year ago people got coins for 1 penny and stashed 100,000 coins for $1000, now I have to pay $1000 just for 1 coin?!? I feel so ripped off!

Also I knew about Bitcoin when it was $30, and I knew about Ethereum when it was $7! I was alive in these time periods and was looking online and reading about these things but it all flew by!

Am I too late to the party? Is it a good time to get buy today or should I find a way to time travel back in time?

My frustration is BIG.
It's definitely not too late to join in on making money with Bitcoin. The cryptocurrencies that are being exchanged have some nice prices, you might want to spend some time to research them.

Sorry, but I think you're too late for THIS stage of the party, 2012-2017, this was the era when people could turn 1k USD into +1 mil USD from smart buying. The market was small enough to follow all the major contenders,  and a person of average inteligence could spot good prospects, and buy cheap coins for a few hundred $, and free airdrops like NEM and decred made people loads of free money they could then use to invest more. IMO that era is over now, and more average people will lose money than make it. The big boys are in town now, and many coins will fail now. That doesn't mean you can't turn 1k into 10k, but never again will jo sixpack turn 1k into 1 mil, not unless he joins a pump group, or gets really lucky.

Sorry bro, I missed the party too, but sloppy seconds might still make you x10 on your money, but you might lose it all on an ICO scam and/or hacks. The golden era for small time guys making x1000 returns has ended, crypto is mainstream now.

you can't be late Wink you can always get into some new projects that are just awesome, and you can also get into some old projects (eth or btc) but you kinda have to invest a bit more
Bitcoin is the investment that can make people a whole lot of money though some people are not buying it for some reason. Are they scared to make money?

I believe the investors today are still considered as the second stage early adopters even when BTC is at a new high. Of course you don't buy when it's high, you buy low and sell high so I suggest waiting for the market correction but even then nobody can correctly predict as the price movement is very volatile due to whale manipulations. It can be that by the time you realize that it's at the lowest end of the correction, the boat has already passed so nothing is actually too late in that sense.
