Wow, your approach seems pretty stressful.
There's already a whole bunch of good advice but maybe I can offer some insight.

I would advise that you change your mentality from lucky/unlucky.
It's not gambling or something like the lottery, through careful research and knowledge of crypto economics, you can make some really good informed decisions that will give you returns on your investment.

This is the great wall that most people are not willing to climb.
But I can tell you from personal experience that it is well worth it.  It makes investment much more rewarding personally and also financially as well.

The other advice I can give you is that you approached day trading totally wrong.
Trading in one coin by attempting to buy low and sell high is never going to work because in the long run the value steadily increases.
You need to make smart purchases of altcoins when they are low, sell when they pump, then use the btc or eth you earned to trade in a different coin when it is low.
Through this, you can increase your capital, cause in the end it is basically more btc everyone is after.

Also, 1 eth is not nearly enough to make any kinds of good returns.
Look at your finances, and decide how much a month you can put into crypto and build your portfolio up.
You will never see huge gains unless you put more in.

Good luck!

Wow where would someone with crypto beginning telling plenty of stories of how they lost money.
Sellings coins at its low and suddenly price spikes. Ive bought hardware for mining and a few weeks spike of price in the coin i liquidated. By double or triple fold. Lose money there.
Trading coins, thinking that the new coins  you traded for was going to make you money, but the coins that you traded ends up going up in price.  Or how about just liquidating some coins to make ends meet, or to spend. But after a few days or week you see the coin you liquidated start spiking in price.
This is very common in cryto. Get used to it and be satisfied with your sell price.

just buy promising projects and hold
promising are big like iota, ada, etc, eth, btc, ... this ones will go up for sure in the future

day trading is for people with big money, so they can make daily profit of few thousands $ and keep the same amount of BTC

Many thanks to all who wrote the messages in this section. I also have many own examples of unsuccessful trade, but reading about your failures has become a little easier - as in the collective session of psychotherapy.

Bought CTR tokens for 0.00550 ETH.
Sold today for            0.00089 ETH
84% lose in ETH.
Gladly ETH went up from 300 to 450 USD. So my total lose is a bit lower
75% lose in USD

Invested ~1k USD, and got back only 250USD

The secret is to HOLD....kill fear completely and HOLD!!!

Agreed. Emotional/panic trading is the worst thing you can do. The market tends to go up and down in weekly or bi-weekly cycles. Try to buy/sell based on these patterns, but monitor news sites and your trading platform daily so that you can stay ahead of the curve.

I also had ups and downs. The price will rise. Crypto currency is necessary to buy. It's a shame to watch from the curb, when someone else makes a profit of 1000%
Same, I am sure that most people that did a little bit of Bitcoin trading had a few ups and down results when trying to make money through Bitcoin.

it's casino and every single thing out there is stacked against the little guy. if it isn't developers themselves, it's pump and dumpers, if it ain't them it's the exchanges and last but most it's your own panicky mindset.

it's pretty incredible how many people here run straight into day trading when they don't have a clue about what you really need to be a success at it. the best you can do is find a coin you believe in, set a price that you'll sell at and wait. even then that's a big ass bet.

Very detailed explanation, looks like you got good memories Grin
0.2 and selling it for 0.18 is not a big deal at all
That was very cheap for you to learn something new
Day trade is not for newbie actually
Seconded. Those amount of loses arent too much to stress out your mind since its not really big at all and you are taking up learnings with those amounts compared into some newbies that do normally lose all their entire bankroll because they do mistakenly make a bad move on making entries on buying cryptos. Mistakes are common but we should make a learning from it once we do face it dont just limit yourself to learn up even more.

I sold 77.5 Dash, 70 from my proposal and 7.5 of my own to fund an ATM that took 6 more months to finally get going. It came to less than 6,300 euros but would be nearly 50k now.

Investment in cryptos needs good timing and of course giving your trust on it what you did is just trading without setting a good tactic you must study the market and hold your cryptos for a little long because in crypto investment the best way to earn is by holding it for a long period and not sell them anytime you wish. Look how bitcoin appreciate today surely those who hold bitcoin for quite sometime now are a having a good income.

Sometimes you gotta call it quits and stop daytrading... Or atleast try it with a smaller portion of your portfolio, so in case it doesn't go well it doesn't ruin your investment plans for the future (that's what i usually do, mostly just for fun).

well if it wasn't for you, all these holders wouldn't make money
The holders do not make money out of people like him, that is a mistake, holders make money of the overall economic growth of bitcoin and not from the speculation, the ones that make money out of the speculation of the price are another traders since trading is a zero sum game.

Gosh, I suppose here you will not find a person, who never made any mistake and never lost him money. Guys on this forum simply do not give up. Be patient. Do not get rid of ETH coins for at least several months. I also sold once my BTC and in a week it raised to the Moon.

And about ethereum... better don't tell this situation  Huh But live is going.

Thanks everyone, I have gone through all comment and as many say, yes I got emotional and it bothered me to lose once so I made it a goal to gain back what I lost and it ended up fucking me. While some think that I might have gotten greedy and wanted to be rich quick, I put in a small amount. It wasnt about being rich, but the satisfaction amd thrill of actually gaining a profit, doesnt matter how small it was to me. Since i am just learning. But yes I got greedy towards that satisfying feeling of selling at more than what i bought at. And yed I am donewith day trading for a while, going to put my hopes in crypto and focus better on analyzing and learning charts and things. Thanks again everyone I appreciate it very much for each advice.

I have 3 tips for you.
1. Do not sell the etherium until it grows to 400, 500 dollars. Sell with a profit of 10 dollars - this is beneficial only for large volumes.
2. Coins that are not so popular, sell at a fall of 20%. Or do not sell at all. Leave them to grow up.
3. Be patient. I bought coins about half a year. I wait when they grow. Patience is important.

 Any more tips?

Buy and hold for weeks or months or even years and you ll see more profit.

Exactly, I've been holding my investments for more than 6 months now - and I'm still waiting, patience is a virtue.
