Whats really concerning to me is that this thread has 56 pages of which recently people are posting MAJOR delays in getting their orders...and yet the Amagi rep hasnt felt the need to come here and post any explanation in close to 3 months!  Shocked

Certainly in this business things happen that are out of our control, a simply post explaining whats causing the recent delay is long over due.

Bueller.....Bueller.....Bueller....

I searched for this thread hoping for an update.  While I am glad that people have still been getting their coins, I share Shattered's concern.  I guess they have given up on bitcointalk.

However, it does not look like they have given up on bitcoin as they still offer it as a payment method.  So I hope they will return to the boards.

OK! I did finally receive my order but it was slightly longer than a month delay!

I'd like to know the real reason for such a delay, in any case there is no excuse for it when you're paid in BTC.

The US mint just stopped shipping silver eagles so maybe just shortage of stock, I don't know.. just remember bitcoin is like cash when it's gone it's gone..

Im hoping Amagi just had a bottleneck with their suppliers and forgot to stop taking online orders.
I would like to see someone from their company post here addressing these concerns as soon as possible.

Obviously this site holds some weight in terms of spreading either good or bad references to future customers.
I really hope this situation doesnt end badly....fingers crossed

I have a pending order and after waiting a month now I'm 99.9% sure I've been ripped off.  They take 10days to reply to my where is my order email, "we'll ship as soon as possible".  I just want my btc back, no reason for a delay on that!    If they are not scammers they need to post an explanation for delaying 'cash' orders a month, otherwise stop accepting orders.

This reddit post sums it up well,

"You've been bent over and goxed. I too have a pending bitcoin order, sad to say I wish I had used paypal. Be happy it's only that much, my order is MUCH bigger. I see this is the biggest problem with bitcoin, it's cash. Would you give some random far away person cash you didn't know?, hell f no.. I trusted them somewhat because I placed and received several orders in the past, now they get my biggest order and run.. I'm guessing they have been stupid, got ripped off themselves, or some govt agency took their assets, that got them screwed as so many other bitcoin companies..or maybe just scammers..who knows. Provident metals accepts btc and seems to ship super fast same or next day. But I'd have to assume they will run off with btc as well one day.. Use bitcoin as cash and you won't get goxed."

I will post again if I ever see my btc or order...

Did you guys cancel bitcoin from your payment option list?I don't see it @ checkout.Or is there a btc limit cap on a purchase?

I see bitcoin still listed as a payment option but I have not gone all the way to checkout.  Did you get your order in?

I was happy with my last order from Amagi and hope they are still up.  I am a little concerned because they have not posted on the forums in awhile and because BTC price has dropped since they started promoting buying precious metals with BTC.

I hope to order again from them in the future!

I don't think they would ever cancel Bitcoin payments, as Amagi plans to become a "Bitcoin-only" precious metals dealer soon. I would say to try giving them a call maybe.

Hey guys, I just wanted to jump back into this thread and let everyone know the results of my recent order placed with Amagi. This was my second time doing business with Amagi and this one shipped quicker than my first order.

From the time i ordered to when i actually received my silver was less than a week.
Obviously I was more than happy with the time frame, and more importantly my order was exactly what i bought.

At this point i would definitely order from this company in the future.

Did someone on this forum seriously have to wait a month to receive their order?
I recently placed my second order with Amagi prior to reading the last few post here...if i would have known i would have to wait anywhere close to 30 days to receive my silver, i would have bought from a different company.

For the record, my first order did take longer to receive than i expected.
It certainly wasnt close to month however.

I will be sure to post how long it takes to receive my order whenever it arrives.  Undecided

I've had to wait a month once. I have ordered form them multiple times. No matter how long it takes, they do always come through with the correct order. Even if BTC skyrockets or goes into a freefall, they honor the purchase price at the time the order was placed. So, unless you are planning on flipping the precious metals for quick profit, you should feel secure ordering from Amagi.

Can Amagi comment on the recent delay of orders that seems to be occurring?

Since their inception, Amagi has always taken several weeks or even months to deliver anything.  I don't think they will ever ship things timely, so if you are in a hurry to receive your goods, ordering from them is obviously not the right choice.  They do offer very competitive pricing though, so if you don't mind waiting a month or more for your order, they are hard to beat.

The rapidly chaging nature of the PM market...............

It sucks to get them late but I don't understand what financial problems this is causing you.

Time is money.

Have a look at their FAQ Shipping page that clearly states 3-5 days after an order is placed and payment has cleared then it will be shipped. It also states that if this isn't the case, it will be rightfully labelled so.

It doesn't "suck" getting them late, it's clearly the fact that customers may feel deceived after realizing they are not forthcoming with their commitments as described. It would be completely different if things were labelled appropriately, but they are not. This is not a proper way to conduct business in my opinion.

We've seen situations like this in the past within this community, it's actually a common thing. It is more than justified to ask for transparency in a company who is handling your funds and service, they should strive for excellence if they expect to make a living from you.

As for you spazzdla, if you like being dicked around, that's your prerogative.

No.

Can Amagi comment on the recent delay of orders that seems to be occurring?

Myself and a few others have ordered recently from you guys and have been witnessing rather long delays in processing of our orders. It doesn't seem to be with any certain product or metal, but rather a store wide shortage. Items that are quoted as "in stock" have been taking weeks to fulfill and ship.

Due to the rapidly changing nature of Bitcoin and the precious metals market this can create quite an upset for the customer who is ordering. We place our orders with the expectation of regular shipping times but are yet left with delays and uncertainty.

There should be a more accurate representation of shipping times described on the website along side each item. I believe this would help to alleviate confusion and reduce the amount of support requests submitted.

Any insight upon this issue would be helpful and also clear the air around the lengthy delay in order processing as of lately.
