On the topic, if I found one cheap, I have no idea how to mine, or set this up at all.  It looks greek to me.

Can I run it on an old computer, that is just sitting there?  And would someone walk me through it (in english, not all these crazy tech wording?)

Better to purchase the Butterfly Labs 5 GH/s box.  Lowers the break even point.

It is kinda over priced.

Yeah, they still are. I hope to see them drop to .10 or below. If they do, I'll probably buy some more. I wonder what the actual manufacture cost is.

Still, is it even worth it?

if you're looking for a return on your investment, i think a $5 price point would be marginal (decreasing daily)...  i guess some of it depends on your electricity costs (how much does it use anyway?  around 3-5 watts?)...   if you just bought one,  a lot would depend on your computer habits too, i suppose (i.e. do you leave it running overnight etc)

anyway, if I saw one for a few bucks, I'd probably grab it...  maybe as a potential collectible, wtf... replace my star wars collection

Last time I checked, one USB block erupter was around 1 BTC.  As of 9/24/13, the price is now 0.3 BTC!!!
