Why has amazon not added bitcoin as one of their payment options?

Are there any risks associated with buying and selling on amazon with bitcoins?
I hope that amazon is going to let Bitcoin be a currency which you can pay with in the future because this is going to make Bitcoin allot more popular.
Just have to wait it out and see what will happen.

I think the reason why amazon still doesn't accept bitcoin as a payment method is because bitcoins price is more volatile than the other currencies. I think that when bitcoin is widely known  and used worldwide then amazon will definitely add bitcoin as a payment method.

For now If you guys want to purchase something in amazon you can use purse.io or rewardspay.com

Amazon and bitcoin i dont really think that was a smart idea to introduce the bitcoin at amazon because allot of people are using it but when the price is going to drop yuour company will also drop allot,.
but all of that is depend with the performance of amazon because they need for converting their btc into the fiat directly for avoiding a lot of loss. but the another problem is caused by the confirmation
you must know about bitcoin payment gateway API such as coinbase and bitpay that will convert the bitcoin that sent to the specific address directly into fiat to avoid the volatility characteristic and also having zero confirmation feature that would be very useful,it's not a new thing.

It would be great for Bitcoin if they could make a deal with amazon and let Bitcoin act as a payment on there website because amazon is far more popular then Bitcoin.
If they manage to do it Bitcoin will become allot more popular for sure.

A company like BitPay will handle the transaction and make a cash deposit in your bank account each day. That is faster than taking a credit card, safer for all parties, and cheaper by 2%.
And what will happen if bitpay is not for directly processing it, the bitpay's life just between on some step for the lost hole? because all of the companies isn't having a performance like bitpay.
I'm not sure I understand.  Directly processing bitcoin transactions is what BitPay does. There are others if one prefers. Or a business could have a trade account at an exchange and do it themselves. I only mention a payment processor because that is something 99% of businesses already do. All credit cards purchases, for example, are processed by a third party and cost the seller about 3%.

Amazon and bitcoins i dont really think it would take that long when they are introducing the bitcoin because i know that allot of comnpanys are trying to put the bitcoin in their company and that is not strange becuase it is growing allot!!

As a matter of fact it is just like amazon is already accepting bitcoins but no literally and directly, because you can buy gift cards at purse.io and pay it with the use of bitcoins. And you can simply use that gift cards for purchasing anything you wanted to buy in amazon. And I guess this is already a success for bitcoin industry.

What does ad an additional charge to buy gift cards, more tasty can directly buy without using third party

I hope that amazon will accept bitcoins soon so that I don't have to worry about fraudulent gift cards. Even if they did though, I probably would still use purse.io since they do give me a discount on goods that I buy Wink.

It is better if you are going to buy to purse.io even though they are just selling gift cards for bitcoin that can be used to buy anything in amazon. That is already considered that we can use bitcoins for purchasing anything in amazon but with the help of 3rd party websites. But I hope that amazon is going to accept bitcoins directly soon.

If utilizing a third party I think is fairly elaborate, as it will definitely cost for transaction box too, I hope can also be directly through the bitcoin but somehow when it could happen

Why has amazon not added bitcoin as one of their payment options?

Are there any risks associated with buying and selling on amazon with bitcoins?

eBay and Amazon will more than likely won't accept Bitcoin , at least not anytime soon. Not only they need a lot of users who request Bitcoin but they also need the ability to manage chargebacks etc... (they can do that with PayPal however It's impossible with Bitcoin).
 ...
I can't see how that could be a reason. I have done chargebacks with bitcoin. It goes something like this:

me= This hat is too big, I want to return it.

them= Ok

What is so hard about that?
Bitcoin as the global online store like amazon and eBay is not more than just a theoretical, and so there is no a reason for that was to get an accepting by them. about your little example that is true, but it's not about just buying and dealing.

Well the big problem really for bitcoin is the price of it is unstable and im pretty sure they are afraid for it since businessman and institution doesn't want to lose money from it and im sure nobody would like to lose since it can lead them to be down, and so thats why i think they are doing deep surveying and analytical data collecting about the market and the user itself, im very sure they are looking for bitcoin but the bad thing is we don't know if they accept it or not.

Yeah there is no worry to use purse.io instead of using other service that not well known..
Amazon still afraid to accept bitcoin because there is no guarantee if they are scam or they need buyers protection that bitcoin dont have.

Well amazon wont be allowing bitcoin in the near future, maybe at 2020 they are working as some big companies that had joined already bitcoin, as long a third companie gets the bitcoin or they exchange the bitcoin at the rate of the day nothing will happen, namecheap works that way you can deposit and the balance will show into dollars, if bitcoin value change isnt anymore a problem.

When I talk to businesses about bitcoin your point about instability comes up a lot. They can't deal with holding a currency that could drop 10% overnight. However there is no reason to face any market volatility with a payment processor. A company like BitPay will handle the transaction and make a cash deposit in your bank account each day. That is faster than taking a credit card, safer for all parties, and cheaper by 2%. The only logical reason to not take bitcoin anymore is ignorance of how it works. Bitcoin is a not only a better deal for consumers, but also better for sellers.
