The issue is that this card is a complete pc basically so the bios i got is not the vga bios its the whole pc one, i saw the functions for pstates ( i think the cpu ones ) can be unlocked and some overclocking, but since i dont have modding experience i cant do it. I tried using a modding tool called amibcp i unlocked all the functions within it but when i flashed the bios back it brivke the card, luckily i have an external programmer so i flashed the original back and it works again.
It’s very good to have a programmer for BIOS chips Smiley
This video card has an interesting history and production was not widespread, so you need to wait for an enthusiast who will overclock the BIOS and also make this information publicly available.

I managed to save the current bios to file, asked on bios mods for a bios unlock, maybe someone can get some more functions to show up in bios. Anyone interested can pm.
Check out safar1980's thread
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/useful-list-of-links-to-miners-5405131

There are mining software developers on the forum
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.63721793
Ask them for advice on setting up this video card through the miner functionality. You know what kind of video card it is and what kind of GPU chip it is, and I haven’t seen a widespread universal solution on the Internet.

im just hoping there are some tweaks available for this card, hiveos recogniyes the gpu part of the ram as hbm2 but no tweaks can be applied and the memory clock cant be changed for now, i tried downloading the bios off the card to see if there is a way to modify it but no dice

In this market with mining not being profitable despite a huge increase of price in Bitcoin we don't see any pickup in mining activity from the small home/office miners that would point out to the developers of HiveOs to bring new updates that would include some tweaks for your card.We have to monitor now as I put my mining rig on because of this situation and seeing what will happen,if the price of Bitcoin remains stable in such levels and alts start increasing in value too then we can wait a great new activity from miners that are off right now,so let's hope for the best.

If you have, then look on their forum for ready-made settings that need to be added to the miner so that the triple miner works for you and be sure to change wallets.
This is a good video card, but not for beginners. Mining on it requires settings for new coins. In single mining, the profit is very small.

is there any video instructions on how to turn on settings for mining multiple pow coins opportunistically?
There are a lot of instructions on YouTube about setting up dual and triple mining. You need to write the necessary commands to the miner
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PHaxHzPF6w&ab_channel=HashOnTube

if you have Windows, then you add the same commands to the bat file.
And settings for the video card for the best power consumption are best done with a wattmeter.
But the basic settings are on the website https://hashrate.no/gpus

Did somebody already test this?
I heard it makes 50 MH/s at 84 watts.

Chassis with 12 of bc-250 are going for 500- 600 usd right now, i think its a good thing if you are ok with dual or triple mining, its a pain to set them up as every one of them is a whole pc together with cpu and memory, i hope there is more support from mining software for these, maybe some tweak like amdmemtweaks setting, one that im testing right now does 98 mhs ergo stock and 18.5 on kawpow solo mining, ill run some more coins to see how they do, i got 60 of them for 100 CAD a piece and if there is a bit of luck and prices keep rising for a while i think ill turn a profit

ps5 gpu quite fast is between 6650 - 6700 xt, while gpu bandwith much higher than 6700 xt. the cpu is around ryzen 2/3600 series. this is costing 13500 eur which absolute joke lol
you can get 200$ x 12 = 2400 for 6700 xt 2nd, and 3000$ for full setup  Cheesy. dunno what asrock thinking here lol
The first option is a technique for collectors, although the price is very expensive and the return on investment in mining is questionable.
But I also see similar advertisements for old mining farms, which cost 3-5 times more than buying individual elements. Maybe someone is waiting for a fool who doesn’t understand mining to buy it.

AMD BC-250 Mining card was a true Frankenstein of a card. Not only it features one of the kind Sony PlayStation 5 APU, it was designed for the least expected workloads for this APU: cryptomining. The last two years have been crazy enough for some companies to even consider doing this in scale, which they did. But now, with the crypto craze over, those solutions are no longer profitable to use.

ASRock’s system, which was listed for around $15K when it came out, featured twelve BC-250 cards and in a full mining chassis. These cards are equipped with Ariel/Oberon processors, which combine Zen2 and RDNA2 graphics. These APU/SoCs were used by PlayStation 5 gaming consoles. In this case, however, these are not fully functional chips, but the leftovers with partially disabled graphics which were also used for the AMD 4700S desktop kit.

Not worth it IMO, its better to buy cheap gpu for mining than finding a PS5 gpu, I have a Xbox series console and I wish I can use it for mining crypto but since no one have done this successfully why should I keep my hope up? A GTX1660 Super now costs 450$ now, way cheaper than that APU.

"According to some mining profitability blogs, the ROI (return of investment) for the BC250 mining card is around 440 to 530 days (assuming that each card costs 999 USD). Considering that Ethereum is expected to switch to Proof of Stake model at some point this year, this ROI might be extended indefinitely."

There are cheaper graphics cards on the market now with a better payback period.

How do you tend to use it in a PC? Is Playstation 5 using a discrete GPU🙄? Any way no comment, all I have to say is there are graphic cards that are as efficiency as this PS5 GPU.
