I find it too risky to trade even with top coins during this market season so I prefer holding good coins. My personal choices are ETH, BNB, and BTC. I bought and have been holding these coins because I already experienced gaining good profit in these coins. I just took the bear season as a chance to buy while they're cheap and would sell them when the market situation gets better. I'm just applying the basics of trading as of now.

I personally would rather keep it for a certain period of time than trade. Volatile market prices make many traders fall and this is not very good actually for beginners. This kind of thing is more risky if you still do not fully understand the momentum or are taking advantage of the situation.
I still hold some alt now like BNB, ETH and some other coins but I am more willing to wait than I am to trade because I know my own capacity.

Since the market is volatile and the downtrend is still very clear, I would also choose to hold rather than trade at this time. If you wish to increase your coin holdings, you may stake them or look for other sources of income to buy them. Short-term holding may not bring you profits, but if you persist in holding for the long term, you will be rewarded more than you think.

I agree and it is very important indeed to know and be aware of one's own capacity so that what we will do later is measured.
moreover for beginners with current conditions it will not be easy for them and sometimes panic arises,
so it's better to hold on to it and wait for the right time
Because it's not too much if you don't know your own limits and abilities but still forcing this is the same as adding to the problem when we are falling.
I don't think there's anything wrong with waiting either because when something like this happens we can't do much other than wait and wait until everything returns to normal. But indeed this also depends on individual choices because many people still feel that luck will always side even if they don't really understand the research there but maybe this will turn out to be like gambling instead of trading because it relies on luck.

I'm still very much positive about the potential of Bitcoin, ethereum and bnb. Despite the fact that their values are far lesser than they used to be, I believe that we can still get them trading at higher ATH. I had some quantity of these cryptos before the market decline and still consider them viable despite everything.

Trade or Hold is a choice, if you hold Bitcoin and top altcoins, all you need to do is DCA, it's not easy to hold long term when you don't have the patience and always look at the history of Bitcoin and top altcoin price data every month from year to year. you can see it here and from there you can make a decision.

Hello I have thought of holding 4 particular currencies which includes BTC, ETH, BNB, UCT. But within me I feels I should trade with them to accumulate more of those currencies maybe before the bear will be finally over I would have ended up having much of them I engaged myself by trading.

I want to know if holding or trading will be more preferred. All suggestions are welcomed.

I only hold ethereum and bnb coins, I will save these two coins for the future. I am sure that in the future the price of ethereum and bnb coins will go up and I will get a big profit.

Trading is more lucrative and with that you could possibly double your crypto before the end of the bear market as desired but the issue is that it comes with some level of risk which could lead to you losing all your crypto if you're not good at it. The more subtle option could be staking, it would not give you alot, but has little or no risk. The choice is yours to make.

Everyone who is in cryptocurrency has their own style of making a profit. I think investing or trading is up to you how you like it, but I tried both. Invest for the long term in big projects like Bitcoin, Ethereum , BNB , Solana. Trade in new higher risk projects such as BNB tokens and SOL or NFT tokens.

You definitely could never go wrong investing in the big three coins like ETH, BTC, and BNB considering that they could easily recover back to their former ATH again.
Though that's only if you are gonna be holding them for long term, trading requires knowledge and it mostly incur losses if the knowledge is insufficient.
So basically if you can, just hold, it guarantees more return in the end.

given the current deteriorating market situation, I only keep bitcoin, ethereum and binance. but part of my portfolio I have converted in USDT. on the one hand I am waiting for the moment to buy bitcoin at a price lower than the current price. I have a feeling the bear market will last as long as 2018.
Now that we are in a bear market in 2022 not in 2018 so it is always possible to buy and conditions could change again in a very small way, you yourself can also see how Bitcoin, Ethereum and Binance increased in the past two days before dropping again yesterday as well as today. So make your choice now and hold on very well until this bear condition disappears in the market.

I still don't dare to trade actively. I prefer to hold long term. and even then only in bitcoin and ethereum. because for beginners like me, of course, daily trading is very risky if you have not mastered the trading technique itself. so I prefer to buy in stages to hold in the long and medium term. But sometimes I also sell some coins when I feel I have made the expected profit (medium term). and buy again from below.

Perhaps, you can manage your portfolio to its best. Even just investing in Bitcoin alone is a good decision but we make to split our funds into some potential coins to lessen the risk as "putting eggs to a single basket is too risky"

Citing the market view at this time, it is quite to see that dumps still dominating the market. We can't be sure that the situation will stay longer like in 2018, I don't think about history repeat itself and even does, I was till believing that the market never goes the same, we have these dumps but the price may seem still high compared before.

Between holding and trading, what is more risky is of course trading because the trading we do must always be monitored at all times, so in this case we must be absolutely sure to hold a coin, so the coin you are currently holding is better to do the holding in the long term because the current market situation is falling, it takes time to be able to get satisfactory profits of course.

Most at times it's only non patient person can sell of his investment or assets at dip due to much panicking, you know it's very heart touching seeing that your investment went off below -90% at that point you could left with no option and hasten to sell off.

Instead of BTC, ETH and BNB, I also hold SOL

It is necessary to hold only that tokens that are really necessary for people. First of all project must be useful to have potential like that https://twitter.com/ImmobiliumInc/status/1541555357524312065/

The only safer strategy for long term plan is to buy the coins and tokens at a good value like right now and stake them for years to come, it doesn't make sense to just hold and years go by while doing that, 10% APY is good enough for long term hold, put trading aside as it's more risky than staking.

I usually like to hold the risk is lower here the risk is higher if you do not have good trading skills for trading bitcoin ethereum and BNB are very good currencies for long term retention. The risk here is low but you have to wait a long time it will usually depend on the person.

I see two ways to hold and trade cryptocurrencies short term and long term. If you hold for a short time, you should be aware of market fluctuations. A long-term holdout will take advantage of the growth potential, but it can also mean a total loss if you wait too long or if competitors step up. Either trade or hold BTC, ETH, BNB, UCT It depends on your personal situation, your goals and what you think will happen to the price. If you want it primarily as a means of payment, then there will be many times where it is better to just spend it.
