advanced technology will not eliminate crypto, if supercomputers are created then crypto will also create even better progress. let's think logically, it's impossible for crypto to run in place without making some progress in the future, crypto will definitely make adjustments to keep up with the times.

so in my opinion, it is unlikely that advanced technology will kill crypto.
That's right, if there is a super computer (advanced technology) then crypto will also be more advanced. The developers at Bitcoin Core will also continue to update Bitcoin technology. I think advanced technology will actually make bitcoin even better.

Lets put the business and regulatory aspects aside for a moment and focus on the technology aspects. In order to attack crypto you need to attack the underlying technology which is cryptography. In order to attack cryptography you need to attack the algorithm, the key or the implementation. A flawed algorithm can be successfully attacked by today's technical capabilities. Lets say someone designs a new coin using a weak algorithm it will be quickly broken and the coin "killed". A good cryptographic system uses an algorithm that can be public and scrutinized but the strength is in the key length. A poor implementation of a good cryptographic system can also be easily broken with today's technology.

To get close to "killing" crypto in my view would need a catastrophic event that successfully attacks Bitcoin itself overnight and without warning. This could happen for example if someone finds a previously unknown flaw in the cryptographic algorithms used in the Bitcoin protocol and uses that to manipulate the blockchain or uses it to access funds tied to private keys that they are not supposed to own. This is however extremely unlikely and a worst case scenario.

Lets assume therefore that the algorithms used in Bitcoin and the implementation is secure. This leaves the key lengths used. This would mean in the simplest terms to try and guess the relationship between public and private keys. To do this one would need the ability to brute force answers that provides the right question which means an extremely significant and large number of answers need to be guessed. Normal logical thinking would lead to designing a capability that attempts to guess the answers in series. Using different thinking, creating capability to increase the number of guesses at the same time through one or more methods is probably what is going to occur over time. My view is further that as such advances in technology occur, the gatekeepers or communities that own/look after or develop the cryptographic systems used in various applications will look into methods of increasing key length or advancing the algorithms or implementing new cryptographic systems that are more resistant to the threat. Technology advances of this nature do not happen overnight and therefore I believe that the gatekeepers and dev community for Bitcoin will in advance future proof the strength of the cryptographic system and implement it through a new release or a fork or something to that effect.

I therefore think it is highly unlikely that crypto will be "killed" through technological advances.

For me personally, cryptocurrency has created a number of opportunities to increase profits. And such a technology as crypto-industry surprises us every day with its new technologies. And I think that so far no one has come up with such a technology that can destroy the crypto-industry forever. The crypto industry is evolving and brings a number of great opportunities for the development of new ideas for the entire crypto community.

New technology will always be dynamic and what we think now is the best then it will be useless in the future, many people overthink about cryptocurrencies with reasons of advanced, secure and so on, but I believe the trend will keep changing and growing.
There's no point for a new technology if it will kill the past technology because i believe new technology arise to deal with new challenges in life. This is the reason why we have some innovations so we can take advantage of new technology, and help us ahead in the competition.  And crypto belongs to the new innovations these days as it help us to grow our investments and increase our profits. This is how dynamic new technology and innovations are.

Therefore, I believe that one should not be afraid of new technologies. Cryptocurrency is an almost voluntary activity. If a better technology appears, we will have a choice: switch to a new one or use the old one. People will switch to a new technology only if it turns out to be more practical and convenient. The current cryptocurrency is imperfect and has a number of disadvantages. Therefore, something new and more perfect may well appear.
Quantum computers in a maximum of ten years will be able to crack the security codes of the current cryptocurrency. It seems to me that already now we need to think about appropriate protection against them.

It this supercomputers are going to be available in the future, then for sure crypto could also make some advancement in order to cope with this quantum computers.

Every code is available out there and majority have devs to make adjustments.

So I'm not afraid about this technologies, what I'm afraid of is the hackers and scammers that are going to still be in the market in the future. In short, it's still human that is the threat to us and this this AI or QC.
This is basically the history of the technological development of our species, if someone created a sharper sword then someone will create a more resistant armor, someone invented the gun making armor for a time useless until someone developed bullet-proof vests.

And the same will happen here, even if at some point the current algorithms are broken they will be replaced by something else that is not as easily broken, so I am not worried about this at all.

About supercomputers, it's not happened as yet so we should not worry we should think about the present and should not be worried about what would happen if such computers develop that can through our wallet key. It is still false but we can not say anything that will happen in the future. And technology changes very fast we all know if you are a part of cryptocurrencies you must know we are not restricted to only bitcoin. From time to time many new coins and many other platforms launched and are giving a tough fight to bitcoin also. Now we are witnessing Metaverse, Nfts, Web3 this is all advancement of the technologies and I would say this is called technology development So crypto is also developing in terms of technology also.

The world of technology is evolving every year what if in future a new tech is been born that can kill crypto or works better than crypto won't this kill cryptocurrencies?

Also I heard that super computers can get through all crypto wallet keys easily in a matter of days, true or false?
The fastest supercomputer is Fugaku which has a speed of 442 PFLOPS and it cost around a billion US dollar to put together this supercomputer and if you think it can break AES-128 encryption it will take forever to break the encryption, basically it is impossible to break the encryption even if you spent a billion dollars and who will be spending that much money to break the encryption of BTCitcoin (SHA-256) or other cryptocurrencies  Tongue.

Correct, right now it is impossible to break the cryptography behind bitcoin, now some assume that just because governments are powerful that they have a way to do so already but this is really doubtful.

After all taking into account how many leaks of information governments suffer all around the world it is to be expected that if this was true we will know it already, in which case all kind of institutions would have updated it their encryption methods to protect themselves from this.

I wouldn't want to bother myself about what kind of technology is to come in the future and still want to continue to enjoy this cryptocurrency moment. When that time comes I don't also believe that their attention will be on how to kill crypto because there could also be even another form of digital finance or the supercomputers might even further enhance the crypto space, who knows.

It is very difficult, cryptocurrency technology is backed by Blockchain, and the only thing that can compete with it is what we call quantum computing, and even so when it is in its first developments, it will not be 100% ready to face Blockchain codes, however, in an eventual advance of quantum technology, it can leave behind certain security algorithms that can break one or another code, but I think that by then, blockchain will be armored with AI and with very good security quantum.

Unfortunately, no one knows what will happen next. As for new technologies, if we look into the past, we will see that many technologies that were earlier are still being used now. This makes us understand that even if there is a new technology that is better than the blockchain, this does not mean that the blockchain and cryptocurrencies will disappear. I believe that the blockchain and cryptocurrencies will work for as long as their creator laid down, or more precisely, until they complete their task. In any case, I believe that it is too early to talk about the replacement of blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

Before you say about technology, you should first study the definition of technology works for what and how.
Sometimes you need to read about technology.
https://www.thesaurus.com/browse/technology

Crypto is, digital asset using technology, technology can't kill, thinking it's intellectually not literate.

I have just answered another similar question just an hour back. First of all, I am surprised to see people really think that Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is the end of currencies like we will always now use this technology in our economy. This is a wild thought in itself, FIAT too came one day and people thought that this is it they have a solution that will last forever but technology gave us crypto a better alternative, so obviously a time will come when even cryptocurrencies would get old and there will be a new technology which will replace it and replace our way of transacting with each other. Will it Kill crypto? yes, it will but definitely, in a positive way, it's not that you will lose all your money and that stuff. Should you be worried? Not at all, I don't see such strong supercomputers coming in for the next 20 years which could overtake crypto.

Yes, our technology is continuously evolving and developing but believe it or not, even cryptocurrency is also improving and developing so I don't think things like that could happen. The decentralized cryptocurrency is also adaptive about the changes so if the latest technology development would affect crypto, I'm sure that it would change features to keep it more secure.

The new tech will not kill crypto, crypto was decentralized and it can't be killed except the world will have no electricity to keep the network will be alive. This is the only way to kill crypto and i don't even think if the new tech will be a threat for the crypto. It's likely the new tech will be integrated with the cryptocurrency. Any new tech will not be perfect and there will always be a hole.
You can't argue that if there will be a better tech than crypto. Remember that the development of new tech will always be getting inspired by solving the problem that exist.
Supercomputor was not a threat for the crypto and don't worry. It needs thousands of years and it's not matter of days. it's a false statement.
when new technologies adopt what crypto brings. I guess that won't be a problem. but those who develop new platforms with possibly similar systems and take over the market adoption. of course, that could be bad for crypto.
crypto survives and continues to experience growth as market demand continues to grow. all can be lost when the community and the market begin to agree to eliminate something.
