Buying from pre sales is one good way to make unimaginable profits. But I think that those days are gone when people get lucky to discover genuine projects that offer presale. What is in almost all the market now is scam coins which will get listed below the the price you bought or coins that is already saturated by pre entrance before announcing to the public.
There might still be few good ones but it will be difficult to locate if at all they still exist. Pre sale came in the early days when bounty was so effective.
The circumstances have changed dramatically since those days, when the bull run of 2017 was taking place many investors were fortunate to invest in projects which eventually made them a fortune, but now the majority of the projects that end up doing well do not use that model anymore, and the only coins you can find that still do that are most of the time released by scammers, so the risk that someone will have to take by investing in those coins is so high that the best decision for them is to simply ignore those coins and concentrate in bitcoin. There might still be few good ones but it will be difficult to locate if at all they still exist. Pre sale came in the early days when bounty was so effective.

I wouldn't recommend any pre-sales here, as most of them are just rubbish that come and go quickly. So, it's better to avoid them all except tokens that are at L-1 or L-2, they look more promising.
Then, you said that you wanted to make an investment, right? investments are usually made over the long term, so wouldn't it be better for you to buy Bitcoin (BTC) for the purpose of holding it in the long term? after all, we're due for a halving in a few months.

The aim of the OP should be extremely clear, they want to obtain profits as fast as possible with a small amount of money and they want to minimize the risk they are taking by asking other members about their favorite projects so they can benefit from that knowledge, now I do not blame people for actually wanting something like this, as it will be the perfect way to make a lot of money with no effort being exerted by themselves, but it is not reasonable to assume all of those factors can come together at the same time and help them to achieve their objective.
Especially that no one actually know the final result of each investment options they want to participate in that's why its still quiet risky to participate on what people suggested to them. Maybe they should forgot about doing this since at the moment there's less token who do this presale thing succeed for being one of the top crypto in the market since mostly the one we see exist at the moment is those scams which make the devs rich and make the investors broke.
People should do some effort to research and eliminate those thinking that there's an easy way for them to earn a lot of money since in crypto this is really most unlikely not gonna happen since its so rare to spot a alt that can give us huge profit so they need to work for trading proven coins since this can give them more realistic profits.

It is quite strange if you prefer buying new coins than buying established/popular coins.In my opinion, you are better to spend your money in the top coins. the fact that its still in presale meaning it is priced lower than whats supposed to be in the market.
therefore the chance of gaining massive return is there, even better if the coin itself is performing really good when in the market, then we can get even massive returns.
but of course the risk of it just vanishing into thin air, and the fact that the project could outright fail always haunts us, but there's nothing we can do about it.
the higher the return, the higher the risk.

I have somehow grown tired of seeing projects conducting ICOs or token pre-sales over the years, gathered money from investors like you, and ended up with nothing. If they're not total frauds, they're shabby projects that are not worth any investment.
There may be a new project or two which rises above the rest, but hitting the perfect one among a vast ocean of frauds is not easy. Especially for a newbie, it isn't advisable.
The risk is so high in this kind of investment. You better use your money buying Bitcoin or ETH and other top altcoins.
I rarely saw an ICO nowadays but maybe there are still a few token pre-sales that are done differently like being held inside an exchange. Someone says they are much safer and I think lots of good projects have grown that way, so why not recommend that instead? Maybe there are some people who are also into that who can drop some good projects here. This advice is good, except that the forum very rarely publishes topics with announcements of really top projects. Can you find topics with announcements of, for example, Arbitrum, Aptos, ZkSynk, Starknet? I see publications, mostly of all kinds of garbage projects, which even with the presence of a topic with an announcement cause a clear dislike. The forum is good as a bitcoin knowledge platform, but as for altcoins, it doesn't always support current trends.

As of this writing the one I knew of with potential presale is dedotfi. With dozens of users and has working product that are very useful for security. I did invest on this. As of now they have 1.7m raise out of 2.5m and currently 3hrs left for the sale period. Not sure what they will do with the unsold tokens but hoping they could burn it or reallocate for potential airdrop.

If you're thinking of investing, you already can see which is at the top 1 right? I don't recommend getting into pre-sale tokens these days, yes some were successful and they're like a lottery honestly. And that's why if you want to make an investment in the market, choose those that are established already so you won't have any regrets in the end. Many of these pre sale tokens or any type of crowdfunding these days could be at their worst time. But if you're really up on it, this is your first step asking the public about our opinions? You can do more by DYOR and searching for those but if you do that, you're likely to fall on the wrong projects and that is because there's no assurance on them. So we go back to the first suggestion of buying bitcoin, you minimize the risk and you get a more secured investment through it.

First seeking such advise from the public will only increase your risk of possible investment into be wrong project, since altcoin general is full with unpredictability also there be measures that must be followed for you to arrive and a good position of opening and investment entry in altcoins direction, so much so that you have to consider a lot of factors and the various risks. I will not advise anyone to buy into a pre-sale because most times those coins after the ore sale will never make it to the exchange and their investors are made to wait endlessly for when their investment will yield any positive result or ever get the chance to trade the pre-sale tokens since must are not listed.
So my best take is to buy some of the few potential altcoins that are already trading in the market and also make sure to check what are their liquidity availability and what ecosystems support them in real life.

I’ll cut right to the chase OP.
First of all, we are not financial or investment advisors here. Cryptocurrency projects like in pre-sale are subject to substantial risks and are prone to high volatility due to the unstable and unpredictable market conditions.
And not just that, it doesn’t offer any promises or astronomical guaranteed returns. So regardless if the pre-sale has so many partners that doesn’t guarantee you anything about making a profit.
In my personal experience, I did participated in many presale campaigns with highly known partners, VCs, etc. However, only a handful of them that I made a profit especially if 100% of the tokens are unlocked during the TGE and with no cliff.
And as for the rest? They are under vesting period in an average of 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and more. The problem is that most of the time the prices went downhill even below the seed sale price, in which I have experienced that before.
Although that I am not discouraging you because of my experience (nor encouraging you either), but it is better that you should decide by your own instincts and acknowledge the risks no matter what. When you spend that money in the pre-sale, just treat it as “dead money” like you’re just fine affording to lose it.

For sure there are a lot of projects that you can invest in but you need to make sure that you are going to be careful with what you are picking because it's going to be a risk. If you have the time, you need to research if it's going to be worth it. Imagine just going in because of some stranger who is trying to promote their project. You still need to work on your own research.
