I think it's wrong, because the pump is depending on the latest update by the ethereum developers, and I think the bitcoin trend was not affecting the another coin. But it looks like the bitcoin users are trying to migrate into the altcoin trading if the price of the bitcoin is getting hurt or dying.
In this time we are seeing the price of ethereum increase caused by the demand of the market of bitcoin are moving a lot into the ethereum market. With bad news for the bitcoin and it makes bearish trend for the bgitcoin itself.

I do not think that the trend of BTC is bearish, would have to break the $ 730 for that to happen we will see what happens, ETH this clarament in a free rise, could take it to surpass the 8000 million capitalization.

If there is a hard fork, or when it is immenent, the price will drop quite a lot, maybe below $700.

Surely, it could lower of 700 $ btc everything depends where they want to take it to not finish with BTC, even if it falls to less than 500 $ it would not jeopardize much more of that if it would hurt to miners that invest much in mining bitcoin.

Totally agree the future is in the crypt, very soon we will see more than 5 cryptos over the 1000 million capitalization.

Very likely that DASH will soon exceed the 1 billion capitalization

It seems the Dash has strong community support, not like the bitcoin with lots of divisions.

Many investors are converting they bitcoin to others altcoins this day because of the probability split in bitcoin network (BTU). I do believe that the raising in Eth was as a result of btu and it will continue as far as this uncertainty remain. Eth will be the best alternatives to bitcoin.
