i would like to recommend high school of the dead but im not sure if the anime is on going but i assure you that highschool of the dead is good.

I recommend Dagashi Kashi. Just watched the entire season 1. It makes you see the world of fast food/snack grocery stores in a completely new perspective.

I would recommend something like Gintama or JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Plenty of quality action, comedy and story to keep you entrenched for at least a year. Enjoy!
